1. Seoul Land
(Namsan) N Tower
We started our journey early in the
morning with -13˚C temp of cold windy
day!
Reaching the Seoul Land, a tram took us to the entrance of the
park. Opened in 1988, Seoul Land is Korea's first comprehensive
theme park and is composed of five different themed areas each
with its own special characteristics and focus. We planned to do
snow sled today.

DAY

2. Firstly, we went to sledding slope to experience the winter itself where we must bring the slider up to the top of
the sledding slope and we were released line by line down through the slope.
> Let’s go snow sledding, guys!!
3. Then ,we went to the Haunted House where some of us a bit scared to entered it but then they founded that
they actually have the invisible courage and brave as they felt nothing scary in that house. We are all excited
playing around after a tiring day before. Some of the features like the longest roller-coaster cannot be entered
because of the winter, a bit disappointement actually for us. At the Time Machine 5D 360 Theater and the
Motion Theater, visitowe worers can wear 3D spectacles to enhance the experience of the technology.
After having our lunch and prayer, we all continued our journey exploring the Land of Seoul trying all the
features that have been offered there.
4. Later on, we gathered at 5p.m and started the journey to the next adorable place, Seoul Tower !
We reached Mt.Namsan at 7p.m by taking Yellow Bus from Dongguk University station which took around 8
minutes to experience the night view of Seoul city from Seoul Tower.
It was great to see a panoramic view over the city of Seoul. Walking up to the tower was a bit of an exercise.
Huhu….~
5. At the lower ground of the tower, it housed the Teddy Bear Museum. Those teddy bears are so cute and we
took this chance to take pictures especially with the big one at the entrance!
The teddy bear museum is a must to visit. The bears are adorable & best of all, photography is allowed. We did
let ourselves loose in the world of the cute teddy bears.
6. The Teddy Bear Museum shows exhibits that chronicle
the history of Seoul from the past, present, and future of
Seoul presented through the use of teddy bears. It is an
amusing and innovative way for visitors to see how Seoul
has changed and developed over time both as the capital
of Korea and as an international city. Teddy bears are
posed in scenes recreating historic events as well as
various aspects of Seoul life.
7. SHOPPING DAY
Namdaemun
Myeongdong
This entire day was dedicated to shopping. We shopped for souvenirs,
traditional sweets, bags and clothes. The two major shopping districts we
went were Namdaemun and Myeong-dong.
To get to Namdaemun market, we took subway line 4 to Hoehyeon
Station.
Named for its nearby namesake of Namdaemun (Great South Gate) and
located near the downtown area, one of Korea's largest wholesale
markets covers over 10 acres. It is filled with over 1,000 shops, stalls,
retailers, street vendors, and has several department stores nearby.
Namdaemum, it looks more like a market and it focuses more on selling
souvenirs and bags. Traditional sweets, whether it is already packed or
made-on-the-spot, also can be found here. For those who are looking out
for an affordable winter clothing, here is the place to search for one. We did spent a lot of time buying
souvenirs for relatives and friends here.
> Although many of Namdaemun's shops
are within the buildings that make up the
area, the most colorful aspect of the
market is the group of street vendors
that setup in the alleys and walkways
between the buildings.
Meanwhile, another top shopping centre
is Myeongdong. In complete contrast to
the raucous hustle and bustle of the
market, Myeongdong is a luxury one. We
went there by passing through the
nearby Shinsegae Department Store.
I’ve told you,… we even skipped lunch for the sake of shopping
madness. We had dinner at Myeongdong.

DAY

9. Myeongdong is a vast and overwhelming maze of stores, restaurants and street vendors. Situated in the
cosmopolitan shade of Seoul it tows enough wattage and electric signs to stand proud as the queen bee
shoppers fashion catwalk. All kinds of brand name shops and department stores are clustered along the streets
and alleyways. It is a really good place to buy all the Korean cosmetic brands, the Face Shop, Etude House, It’s
Skin, Nature Republic, Skin Food, Missha, etc etc... Stalls selling shoes here are considered cheap too, about W
10,000 per pair. But shops selling clothing and bags are generally more expensive.
One thing familiar about Myeongdong and Namdaemun is that accessories or stuff related to K-pop artists can
easily be grabbed. For examples are posters, key-chains, calendars, cups and many more. This shows how much
the Koreans appreciate and admire their K-pop idols.
