Abstract: As the Head of Technology and Cloud Platforms at Vault Systems, Dez will take us through the importance of Open Cloud Architecture and how OpenStack is being adopted by the broader community to deliver Services to Government.

Speaker Bio: Dez is a geek who wears a suit ( board room attire ) as comfortably as he wears a hoodie. He runs OpenStack, Docker, Hadoop & Spark on his laptop, and cloud bursts just for kicks. He’s a confirmed “cloud believer”, and it’s reported he has the ability to perform Jedi mind tricks with a whiteboard marker. His professional career spans 25+ years experience in the IT & Telco industries, as a strategic leader in business & digital transformation, strategy & implementing business initiatives during the day, cutting coding through the night. His day job includes a mandate to develop, evangelize and drive key market segments including Cloud Computing, Big Data & Analytics, and Internet of Things.
