confusion about the difference
between Spinning and Indoor
Cycling. The truth is Spinning
is simply an extended brand
Indoor Cycling.
3. A company by the name of Mad Dogg
athletics has trademarked
“spinning” and in order to hold a
real Spin class, all of the equipment
must be Spinner brands and each
instructor must obtain and maintain
a certain type of certification.
5. All Spin classes vary however, the
foundation remains the same -help
participants become more fit. Most
spin classes will not require
participants to put on any resistance
while at the same time help them
achieve their fitness goals and see
results.
7. Spinning is considered a low-impact
cardio workout. This means the
workout will not be hard on your
joints. This workout also allows
each individual participant to have
sole control over their own
resistance.
9. Many individuals enjoy Spin class
because as mentioned of above they
are allowed to work independently
but also have the opportunity to
workout in a group setting.
10. Spin classes can last anywhere from
30 to 60 minutes, depending on the
instructor. Some ride profiles
include active recovery options that
allow participants to take mini
breaks during sessions. Choose your
class carefully some sessions only
allow breaks after the class is
finished.
11. The popularity of Spinning
programs are increasing daily. If you
