1. SOLEMNITY OF BODY AND BLOOD OF CHIRST (18-6-2017)
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
1. Sunday school for children from 1st to 10th std, First Holy Communion for 4th std, and
Confirmation classes for youth from 11th Std, and others above 16 years has begun from
last Sunday. Confirmation students will attend the classes at 8 am, and thereafter attend the
9.30 mass. Other children, will attend the 8.15 am mass and thereafter attend the Sunday
school in our school classrooms. Only those children who attend Sunday school during their
1st, 2nd and 3rd std will be admitted for First Holy Communion class and children those who
attend from 5th to 10th std will be admitted for Confirmation class. There will be no direct
admission to First Holy Communion and Confirmation classes without attending pre-
communion and pre-confirmation classes. Sunday Catechists will keep systematic
attendance of these children. Hence parents please see that your children attend the
Sunday school regularly till their 11th std. For First Holy Communion and Conformation
classes100% attendance is compulsory if you want to receive the sacraments during this
academic year.
2. Altars servers meeting is being held every Thursday at 9 am. Encouraging all children from
5th to 10th std to join the altar servers, or any of the parish group like children’s choir, eco
kids etc.
3. The Eco kids monthly meeting will be held today/tomorrow. The Eco Kids project for the
month of June will be Elocution contest on any topic of environment which will be held on
coming Sunday, 25th June. The top three winners from the area wise eco kids will
participate in the final contest at the parish level on Sunday, 9th July during the annual
inaugural get-together of Eco kids. Further details will be given to you by your animators
today/tomorrow during the eco kids meeting.
4. The Bible Quest 21 in the Gospel of John chapter 11 to 20 will be held on coming Sunday,
25th June as usual after the 9.30 mass in our school classrooms. PPC members please
enlist online the nos participating from your community before coming Wednesday, 21st
June.
5. There will be a gathering of neophytes, that is, those who have attended RCIA course and
received adult baptism in the last few years. This programme will be held after the evening
mass in the AV hall on coming Sunday, 25th June. Kindly register your names in the parish
office or with Fr. Henry.
6. The laity Sunday will be celebrated on coming Sunday, 25th June at St Antonio D’Silva high
school Dadar. Since it is an archdiocesan programme, each parish has given invitation
passes. From our parish, each parish group will be given 2 entry passes. In case you
cannot attend give the pass to some other group since the snack and other arrangement
will be made according to the passes. A few extra passes are available. Contact Fr Felix.

7. The summer special online eco quiz results are displayed on the notice board outside. The
online eco quiz first term has already started. Interested children from 3rd to 11th std may
send your WhatsApp no. with your name and std to Fr Felix
8. Last year, 2 of our parishioners from SCC 7 and 9 have done the Training of Animators
TOA course. Since training of animators is important to make our SCCs vibrant and strong,
we wish that, each SCC will send 1 animator in turn for this course every year. For this year
batch, it is suggested that 3 active SCCs to send their animator. These SCCs are SCC 4,

contact Fr Felix at your earliest as the last date is just over.
9. Those boys who finished their 12th std and think about the vocation to the priesthood can
now continue their studies in the archdiocesan Minor seminary at Our Lady’s Home, Dadar.

10. It is happy to announce that, once again our school has got 100% results in the SSC exam
held during this March. Congratulations to headmistress, teachers, staff and students for
their wonderful performance. Keep it up.
11. The Jesus youth, an international youth organisation is celebrating their silver Jubilee on
25th June. Cardinal Oswald Gracias will be the main celebrant for the mass. Further details
have been sent on parish WhatsApp group or refer to the poster on the notice board.
12. Mass bookings for June to December 2017 are open. Contact parish office during office
time.
13. Those who would like to join as Konkani lectors please give your names to one of the parish
fathers
14. (9.15 mass only) Today’s liturgy is animated by SCC 18. Coming Sunday liturgy will be
SCC 1.

in the A V Hall after the 8.15 am mass. Attendance for the meeting is compulsory.
