ELECTRICAL ENERGY PRODUCTION USING
                                   LOCOMOTIVES

ABSTRACT

This multipurpose transport utility involves the generation of electricity using transports and
vehicles. In this project we innovatively generated electricity from four ways. They are as
follows.

       1. Generation using speed breakers.

       2. Generation using locomotives – concept of speed breakers.

       3. Generation using locomotives – principle of Electromagnetic induction.

       4. Generation using locomotives – piezoelectric principle.




Each of the methods of generation differs in their construction. Since the energy generated by
these methods is not continuous we have to regulate the energy. For this purpose of
regulation, regulators are involved .then the regulated voltage is stored using the recharging
batteries and then it can be utilized for general purposes.

Since three of these multipurpose projects are dealing with locomotives, it will provide a fair
generation of power apart from all the small optimizing principles. In this era, power
generation is purely based on nuclear plants as conventional resources such as coal and
petroleum are running down. We thought of optimizing the usage of electricity. Hence we did
this way of producing a renewable energy.

Finally the last idea is that by electromagnetic principle, we can generate power if we place
two permanent magnet, one under the body of the coach and the other in between two tracks.
Thus if we place a conductor in-between the two magnets, each and every time when the train
passes , the flux lines gets cut and hence an emf is induced in the conductor. The above all
power generators are intermittent and hence can be stored only in batteries. The above four
ideas constitute our project.
