This document discusses an optimized switching strategy for a ripple-canceling boost converter. The strategy extends previous work on a hybrid switched-capacitor/interleaved boost converter that provided high voltage gain and canceled input current ripple at a preselected duty cycle. The new strategy proposes optimized switching for operating conditions at other duty cycle values. It quantifies the effect on voltage gain and input current ripple compared to conventional switching strategies, which is validated through hardware prototyping.
