1st Six Weeks: LAB SAFETY(due date September 24)
Create a lab safety poster using real photographs of yourself or other
students showing proper lab procedure. It must have color and be neat
and easy to read. Creativity it encouraged.
2nd Six Weeks: Physics in the News(due date November 5)
Find an article (online or in the library) within the last 3 months relating to
Physics. Remember Physics includes the study of electronics, space,
motion, energy, etc. Follow the REVIEW method found here:

(just google “scientific article REVIEW” if you don’t want to type all that in. It
should be the first one to come up.)
You must print or copy the article and turn it in with your review
3rd Six Weeks: REVIEW (due date WEDNESDAY January 5th! This date is early
due to exemptions and finals)
Create a video reviewing or related to a concept we have covered so far
this year. The video must be at least 3 minutes. If you work with partners
it should be 3 minutes per person, or be willing to share overall points.
OR a power point presentation reviewing or related to a concept we have
covered this semester. This must be at least 15 slides with graphics and
examples. Make sure you cite all sources! If you just copy and paste from
other websites NO credit will be awarded. (no partners).
IF THIS IS NOT ENOUGH, or you are still worried about your grade:
Remember tutoring incentives, late passes, and that you have the opportunity to
make up every test to a 70 (within one week of the original).

Hurst U202 – Tuesday 2:30-3:15.
Sudbury T222- Wednesday 2:30-3:15
Waugh S220 – Thursdays 6:45-7:15

2. Semester II Physics Extra Credit

4th Six Weeks: Physics Demo(due Feb 18)
Choose any physics demonstration and do it for the class.
You must run it by your teacher FIRST to make sure that it is within safety
guidelines. If you need materials or supplies you must talk to your
teacher no later than Wednesday Feb 16 to obtain them.
You must also turn in a written procedure for the demo as well as a 3-4
sentence explanation of the physics principle that it shows.
5th Six Weeks: Science in the News OR TAKS review (due Apr 8)
Find an article (online or in the library) within the last 3 months relating to
Physics. Remember Physics includes the study of electronics, space,
motion, energy, etc. Follow the REVIEW method found here:

6th Six Weeks: REVIEW (due Wed May 25- this is a little early due to finals)
Create a class review game that the class can play based on content from this
semester. It must have a minimum of 20 questions to work with. Any format you
wish. Make sure that the rules and/or format is clear and written out.
