2. • We used dance sequence, we thought that dance
sequence would attract the audience as dance is
something many people are interested in or can relate
to.
• The setting would address the audience as our product
is aimed at 15 and over – the audience can familiarise
themselves with the setting
• Frequent cuts back and forth of the two characters
helped build a relationship between them. Which would
keep the audience interested as they would be
wondering what the link is between the two.
• Different shots of the dance builds tension along with the
soundtrack and also keeps them engaged instead of
using one camera angle which would have made it
boring for the audience.
• The stalker character appears as a silhouette, I think
instantly pulls the audiences attention. What attracts the
audience is that his identity is quite mysterious and
hidden. “
3. Our production company addresses all thriller
lovers, as it sets up the genre immediately, as
the effect we used on the “Foxlight Productions
was x-ray which we then made look darker also
the music in the background emphasises the
genre.
• In the dance routine we used slow motion, which
distorts reality slows up build of tension we
wanted to take the idea of distortion further so
for our final clip we imbalanced the camera to
make it look unsteady – because our opening is
so simple we wanted to make it more interesting
so we could keep that audience engaged.
• Also the narrow hallway the janitor is placed,
makes him look big and the centre of attention.
Which draws the attention of the audience and
makes them focus on the character instead of
his surroundings.
