fuels?
In this day and age, we have new energy sources that could be used to power our homes and
transportation. Wind and solar power are used all over the world, but are still used far less than
fossil fuels. Most would say it's not reliable or it doesn't make any profit. While both statements are
true, it doesn't mean we can't make a better future using renewable energy. In fact, the only reason
we don't use renewables for everything is that we don't want to change. The hard truth is we need to
change. Fossil fuels are great right now, but if we run out, humanity must have another source of
energy.
Renewable energy may seem like a daunting task, but the benefits to humanity could be incredible.
Public uses of renewable energy range from transportation all the way to heating and cooling.
Everything we use could become less explosive and less expensive. Cities with a high concentration
of people could become safer and healthier places to live. Transportation could be converted to

There's a possibility of success in these situations, but it's more likely they will be in over their
heads. If university that hold a high level of expectation let these students in would make it
extremely difficult for them to graduate. So, when we are forced to lower our standards to please
them, we are actually making it hard for them to pass or keep up. I'm no trying to put the down or
say that these students are not able to do it, but the chances are that if they can't reach minimum
requirements, shows that there probably not ready to go there, so give them another choice

the first words read in the short story, "Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut. The story is about
a future where everyone in the world is, "not only equal in front of God and the law", but also

treatment a veterinarian. How fair would it be for someone who saves animals lives to be treated
the same publically as someone who's murdered, multiple people? After seeing this, equality can
seem fairly split, but there's also a difference, there's equality then there's equity. Equality would be
people treated equal, especially socially and equal opportunities, while equity is definite fairness.
That means people brought down or up to meet the same level. What I believe was exhibited in the
story "Harrison Bergeron", was not equality, but actually equity. This can be seen by them bringing
people down from their abilities or up to meet a standard to make everyone equal. As the story
states, "A little mental handicap radio in his ear. He was required by law to wear it at all times",
that means they are bringing some people down to the same level but at the same time not bringing

of my essay where I successfully integrated quotes within my voice, but for the most part that was

If a person knows many facts, it is impressive, but not very useful. It is of much greater importance
to be able to find information quickly, organize that information, analyze and understand the main
ideas, put different pieces of information together (synthesize), and create new information. Together
these skills make what we call information management and innovation, the skills which are most
desired in the business world. Most people in the world believe that education is about remembering
things to take tests which measure one's performance against other people who have studied the
same information. However, this idea no longer matches the reality of the modern world in which
knowledge is less important than creativity and deep understanding. To be successful in the age of
technology, education must focus on helping students gain information management and innovation
skills.

Technology Argumentative Essay
Today's society has advanced so this past decade. So much to the point we use it at a daily basis.
Technology does have it's perks, but are we getting too dependent on it? Technology has its
advantages in many ways and I know firsthand how powerful and convenient today's technology is.
Without it, I would have a lot of trouble getting through my day. I would not be able to get a hold of
someone as easy without my blackberry. I am constantly text messaging on it. So much to the point
that I trip over stuff while I am walking due to reading a long text. My blackberry is basically my

Life is more simple with these wonderful devices, but we are becoming too lazy to pick up a book
and learn things on our own. I feel like I and many of my classmates barley open a book for class,
instead we use the internet for everything. This is becoming a serious issue. I feel that we are not
expanding our minds like we used to back when technology was not as advanced. I remember back
in middle school were the internet was available, but I did not let it take up time in my day. I
found myself being more productive with my life back then. Now, I probably spent a fourth of
my day using the internet, which is not necessary at all. With so much power to discover new
things without even thinking makes me wonder what will happen to our next generation as
technology advances. Are we headed for a world where everything is technology driven and
devoid of what makes us human? I look at today's society and I feel that it is really getting to that
point. It is almost as if we are turning into robots. We are divorcing ourselves from regular human
activities. `We are now getting to the point where we are programmed to use technology at a daily
basis. My generation needs to realize that there are many other types of activities that give us greater
satisfaction than anything that is offered online. Instead of spending two to three hours text
messaging a friend, social networking and checking listings on Ebay, we should really take a visit
