Training Awards for Adult Leaders
• The training awards and keys are designed to
recognize unit Scouters for tenure, training, and
performance in their leadership roles.
• We are now able to process most training awards
at the district level:
– Den Leader Training Award
– Training Awards
• Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing, Sea Scouting
– Keys
• Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Advisor, Skipper

New BSA Fees for 2020
• National BSA fees
– $60 per unit recharter fee
– $60 per youth
– $36 per adult
• Occoneechee Council fees
– $12 per person
• (insurance due in January)
– $48 per youth on 1 August 2020

Contact to help get information out to leaders.

already receiving emails.
• You can choose one or several email list that you
wish to receive news from:

2020 Camp Cards
• Vendor Forms are available tonight.
• Have the business fill them out and return to Erin
Zeek or scan to erin.zeek@scouting.org
• Filling out a Vendor Form is not a guarantee of being
on the Camp Card – the better the deal, the better the
chance.
• Deadline is December Roundtable.
• $5 Camp Cards
– $2.50 to the Scout
– $2.50 to the Council

Mentors
• Counselors and Mentors must
be registered before they
begin working on awards with
Scouts.
• Counselors and Mentors must
renew their registration each
year in April just like Merit

Service Hour Reporting
• Who: All Scouting groups are encouraged to participate in this service project
initiative.
• What: This is a time for all Scouting groups to conduct meaningful, visible
service projects of their choice in their communities. You are encouraged to
discuss and choose your projects with the help of your Scouts, committee, and
chartered organization.
• Where: Service projects can be done for your chartered organization or for the
cause of your choice. Projects done in collaboration with other organizations are
highly recommended.
• When: Projects may be conducted at any time.
• Why: Scouting was founded on the premise of doing a Good Turn daily.
Community service is very important in the character-building process and, as
Scouts, we have made the commitment to give back to our communities.
