for use at next year’s Cub Day Camp.
• Electronics will be used at
“Deconstruction Station”

4. 2017 National Jamboree
• The 2017 National Scout
Jamboree will be held from
July 19 to July 28, 2017
• Troops are forming now.
• Scouts age 12 and first
class are eligible.
• Venturers may attend.

9. Christmas Parade and Picnic
Saturday, December 10, 2016
• Meet in the parking lot of the Courthouse
• 9:30-10:30 (you cannot park at the Courthouse)
• Wear your uniform and a Christmas hat!
• Wear a backpacking backpack or day pack (carry
your lunch and we will have a picnic together at the
end of the parade).

scouting experience better for
everyone.
We need:

• Training Registrar

Contact to help get information out to leaders.
• Go to Highlanderdistrict.org to sign up if you are not
already receiving emails.
• You can chose one or several email list that you
wish to receive news from:

– Cub Scouts

– Sea Scouts
– General Interest

18. Red Cross offers Service Hours
Troops and Crews – the Red Cross needs your help!
• The Red Cross installs smoke alarms in poorer
neighborhoods – they are looking for volunteers to
train and do the installs (Service Hours!)
• The Red Cross is willing to offer some classes in
“Hands only” CPR to Troops and Crews at no charge
Leaders – get in touch with The Red Cross if you are
interested in your Troop or Crew helping with installs
of smoke detectors!
