Roundtables provide training and networking opportunities for unit leaders. They include welcome/opening remarks, hot topic discussions, a main program training topic applicable to all programs, and separate breakout sessions for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts. The current roundtable format is adjusted for COVID-19 restrictions with reduced group sizes and mask requirements. Upcoming events at the district and council level are also announced.

“Roundtables provide unit leaders with the skill to do and the will to do what is needed to
ensure that every member of every unit has a great Scouting experience. They build
upon the foundation provided by position-specific basic training and each leader’s
commitment to serving youth through Scouting.”

3. Coronavirus Phase 3 Activities
Effective 26 February, the state of North Carolina and Occoneechee Council
will continue in Phase 3
Restrictions will be revisited on 30 March
• Indoor meetings limited to twenty-five (25) individuals
• Outdoor meetings limited to fifty (50) individuals (unchanged)
• Individuals ages five years and older must be masked
• Observe social distancing and sanitation requirements
• Individuals not feeling well should not attend meetings
Follow the guidance directed by your local authorities and Charter
Organization!

5. Camp Cards
• Camp Cards due into the Council Office April 15th.
• Sales start as soon as you get the cards out to the Scouts.
• $5.00 - $2.50 to the Unit/Scout and $2.50 to the Council
• Camp Cards are available for Cumberland, Lee & Moore Counties

• Camp Card Sale ends June 15th. Money is due to the Council Office June 29th.
Arrangements will be made for drop off points at a couple different locations TBD.

6. Merit Badge Counselors
• You have skills that our Scouts want to learn!
• Become a Merit Badge
• Merit Badge Councilors and must renew each year in April.
• If you do not renew, you will be dropped on May 1st.

7. Lafayette District (Legacy) Pinewood Derby
• When:
– April 10, 2021
• Where: Salem UMC

• All Day, events spread out
due to COVID guidelines.

8. Cub Scout Family Movie Night / Shooting Sports
• DATE: June 4-5
• Location: Camp Durant
• Cost: $15 per Cub / $5 for Adults
• Movie in Camp Durant Grand Lodge then
camp 1 night.
• Limited to Cub(s) and 1 parent, Cubs from
the same unit will be placed in the same
campsite when possible.
