• From syllabus:
• This course is a presentation of a broad range of global
issues relevant to a number of disciplines including
economics, political science, and international studies.
This class will focus primarily on developing regions of
the world. In particular, we’ll discuss why some
countries/regions are poorer than others, and what can
be done about it. Topics include: economic growth and
inequality, international trade, diseases/healthcare,
and education.

• READ SYLLABUS CLOSELY!
– It’s extremely important, particularly with an online class, that
you not fall behind on the material.

(to be completed no later than May 26th).
– Read/watch the material listed on the Reading Schedule and
posted to the Module folder on Blackboard.
– Discuss material on Blackboard’s Discussion forum.
– Journal about all material covered on Module 1, submit by 8 PM
on Friday, May 26th.
