had a strange marking in her wrist. It was tattoo or something engraved
into her skin. She has always had this since she was a baby and didn’t
know why she had this. Kamila wondered about this and wanted to know
what it was. On Kamila turned sixteen years old she decided it was the
right time to go and search for her parents. Still believing the fact that
her parents are alive, her grandma Bella stopped her and told her that
her parents were dead. Grandma Bella started to cry as she had kept in
her tears and emotions since they passed away. She realised that her
granddaughter would grow up without a mum, her daughter. While
Kamila was in school she realised that there were two men dressed in
black who were looking for her. She tried hiding and ignoring them. She
was worried that they might do something to her grandma Bella. It soon
occurred to her that she was only a few people in the world with the
strange markings. Her grandma Bella didn’t have one but her grandma
told her that her mum did that’s how she got hers. Her grandma
explained to her that people who are after her believe that she curses
people but really she doesn’t and her can’t. The only problem was that
the marking meant that she was from a ‘special’ tribe. The people from
the tribe have special powers to help people get better which are to
make herbal medications for wounds and cuts. So really nothing is
wrong with her.

Characters: ghost – Toby, Sophie
Themes: children’s thriller
Props:

Narrative:
Plot: Sophie moved houses to somewhere she has never been before. It
was a dark gloomy forest. Where there was only a big castle looking
house. The nearest shop to her house was five miles away and it almost
felt like forever walking there. Sophie was given her own room and a few
weeks into sleeping in her new room she felt as if there was someone
jumping on her bed but there was no one there. She was really scared
and went and slept in her parent’s room. Her mum was nagging her and
telling her that her mind was playing tricks on her and that there were no
such things as ghost. So finally it was night and it was time for Sophie to
go to bed. The same thing happened the night before and she couldn’t
sleep. She opened her eyes but there was no one there was really scary.
She felt a gush of wind and her room was cold. Something fell off her

exist. She felt the bottom of her bed really cold. She looked underneath
her bed and saw a green glow and couldn’t figure out what it was; she
put a torch under the bed but the green glow was gone. It wasn’t there
anymore. She turned the torch off and saw it again. She told the green
glow that she wouldn’t hurt it and she was sorry for disturbing it. The
green glow finally came out and said that its name was Toby. He died in
a fire when the house burnt down. He said that his parents managed to
get out of the house but he couldn’t because he was in the roof while
the house was burning and how he fell asleep mistakenly and never
woke up a gain. H said that he died in his sleep. Sophie made friends
with him. Toby the ghost told her that he only comes out when the sky
gets dark. Toby then apologised about the jumping on the bed because
he hasn’t had so much fun in fifty years.
