1. ANALYSIS & REFLECTION
OF MY P-TASK
By Bayzid Hussain
The criteria of our p-task was to use variety of shots such as master shot,
reverse shot, close up and etcâŚ
2. ANALYSIS OF OPENING SHOT
⢠In this shot we see Bayzid Hussain shoes from his own perspective, this is
called P.O.V shot (point of view).
P.O.V
⢠We used this shot to show to give the audience the feel of what he is doing
and whereâs he going?
3. REVERSE SHOT & MASTER SHOT
⢠In the images below you can tell weâve met the aim of including a master
shot and reverse shot
Reverse shot
Master shot
⢠The purpose of these shots to establish where Bayzid and Mashud are? To
establish their point of view of the conversation they are having.
4. MATCH ON ACTION & EXTREME
CLOSE UP SHOT
⢠Weâve met the criteria of including a match on action shot, as you can see
in the two images labelled âmatch on actionâ show two shots of the same
scene.
Match on action
Extreme close up
⢠Next image we have extreme close up of a phone, this builds a enigma
code. However due to the lightning itâs hard to read what Mashud was
typing
5. REFLECTION OF OUR P-TASK
⢠Overall we managed to fulfil all the criteria because we included a match
on action shot, a reverse shot and a master shot, we also included our actors
to sit down and involve dialogue.
⢠Throughout this filming I learned that it was hard to find a good location
because of the location (Haverstock) not being quiet enough to record, I
also learned that we had to organise the actors well so they knew what they
was doing and also what dialogue they was saying. Our framing was quite
good but however we did sometimes cut off the head of our actors. The
sound had to be level so we edited to accomplishment that element.
⢠The actors where good for this film because they were teenagers and that
fitted the criteria of the acting part, they knew the locations and dialogue
they needed to say and also they costume

PART 2
⢠Editing
⢠From the editing process I learned many things such as cutting bits of the
clips that werenât good, these were called âsubclipsâ. Another thing I learned
from editing is that we could control the colour for example I could change
the contrast or I could change the brightness of the clip.
⢠I also learned that I could crop the scene so if there was an object or person
in the clip I could just crop them out to save time doing the recording again,
the sound was uneven at first but by editing I managed to keep the sound at
constant (18 decibel)
⢠I learned to use the software âfinal cut proâ to make my video, I learned how
to make the clips into a movie and put them together
