Conventions of Wikipedia
Conventions of Wikipedia are:
Online encyclopaedia is aconvention because anencyclopedia is a type of reference work
which is holding a summary of information from either all branches of knowledge or a
particular branch of knowledge.
Editable to the public which means the public can change it but they Wikipedia Company will
change it in amount of second or minutes.
Lots of information which includes lots of information about someone autobiography and
also includes meaning of words which people don’t know.
Pictures because it shows what the topic you searched is and pictures about what the word
means by showing a picture which is more understandable.
Title of article which is the article you wantto know and indicates what the article is about
and qualify it from other articles.
Subheading which is will allow the reader to understand what that particular section
isabout. For Example: Heading - Baseball Positions Sub Headings -First Base.
Content Box listing Heading is that it jumps to the relevant section and a page can and
should be divided into sections so it will be easier for people to read by selecting a relevant
section instead of scrolling down.
Side bar with settings/preferences/content/suggestions is easier for people to read it in the
side so it will be better for people to read it and easier for people to know the link.
Logo in Top left –hyperlinked to FrontPage because it’s better because it take you to the
front page which people can see the logo of the website.
Hyperlinks which links to other website which is relevant to the website that the person is
on and it talks about how its link to other pages.
A reference is written in Wikipedia because they are important to validate writing and
inform the reader.
External links in an article can be helpful to the reader, but they should be kept minimal,
merit able, and directly relevant to the article.
Talk page tab for discussing improvement page which is people discussing about the topics
and giving their opinions about the topic.
