This here is an image of a
young boy sitting on a bomb.
The artist, Alias, chooses to
put his art close to the
ground so that it is at eye
level with children passing
by. His hope is that the child
will see it and ask his parents
about it, sparking a
conversation about children
and violence and providing
an opportunity for parents to
inform their kids about
violent realities many
children in other nations face
each day.

15. The voice of the street art around Berlin has had
many inspirations, but most are political.
The Berlin Wall itself became a canvas for artists.
Two famous French artists, Noir and Bouchet,
became quite well known for their murals
depicting the wall as an oppressive barrier.
They painted many kilometres along the wall.
Today one can still find traces of their work where
the wall still stands.
