Experience:
Chemical Engineer in ALASAAD STEEL FACTORY – The Manager of the
Water treatment Plant – from September 2006 till now.
The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustration of
the various types of work that I performed during this period.
- Responsible of the treatment process
- Responsible for the oversight of addition of chemicals to water
- Take water samples and perform tests to ensure water quality, compute and
record test results
- Ensure that the plant comply with company standards by regularly testing the
water in many stages of treatment
- Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring all equipment is in proper
working condition
- Operate specialized equipment related to treatment plant's distribution, cooling
and treatment
- Responsible for the efficient day – to – day operation of the plant
- Supervise teams of operators
- Direct, lead and motivate assigned employees
- Institute plant policies and procedures
- Inspect the hazards and assessment the risks at the plant
- Inspect and repair the equipment related to the plant (cooling tower, sand filters,
pumps, valves, flow meters, gauges ,motors , oil skimmers ,softener , mixers ,
sludge thickener , tanks , levels gauges , dosing pumps , scarper bridge and etc )
by coordination and helping of electrical and mechanical divisions
- Ordering the spare parts, chemicals, materials and all the things which are needed
at the plant
- Conduct regular plant inspections and flow recommended preventative
maintenance schedules
- Investigate and solve problems related to treatment, operation and maintenance
with discretion and resourcefulness
- Perform similar or related work as required or as situation dictates
- Review service and maintenance contracts
- Inspect work being performed by contractors to ensure adherence to plans and
specification
- Prepare the planning and scheduling of the treatment process and other treatment
plant work
- Assign, schedule, review, and evaluate work
- Recommended appropriate staffing levels and provides training for personnel
- Prepare reports and documents for senior manager
- Maintain detailed records and logs regarding the operation, maintenance,
treatment process and analysis of the water treatment plant
- Conduct annual performance reviews
