Job Description:-
- Drilling fluids parameters monitoring and correction
- Keeping stability of wellbore
- Well documentation and diverse types of Customer reporting (daily reports, field
reports, drilling status reports etc)
- Chemicals control and calculations of Drilling fluid parameters
- Carrying out field and laboratory testing of drilling fluid and mud chemicals
- Procurement of all testing equipment/ mud chemicals/lab chemicals
- Participate in planning of mud and chemical requirements
- Interact with geo-scientist and drilling engineers and conceptualize subsurface issues
-Flowoing up mud operations
-Participates in optimizing and formulating drilling and completion fluids as per the well
program in order to improve well quality and reduce completion time and cost. Plans fluid
requirements,maintains inventory, and reports on utilization.
- Implements and promotes the company health, safety and environmental policy,
procedures, regulations and objectives and ensures, by appropriate monitoring and review,
that work is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
- Samples and analysis drilling mud at regular intervals as well as whenever required in
order to ensure smooth and efficient drilling operations.
- Calculates and reports the daily mud parameter. Tests Oil Based Mud (OBM) upon
receiving and sending to mud plant.
- Plans mud and chemical requirements based on drilling operational requirements.
- Ensures the mud testing equipment are available on location, well maintained and
calibrated.
- Reports the daily and cumulative mud utilization and cost, estimation of mud lost, and
addition of fluids.
- Recommends on the proper use of solids control equipment.
- Maintains an inventory of material and equipment related to own area of operation.
Advises and supervises rig-crew during transfers.
- Submits end of the section / well recap, including “Incident Report” whenever
applicable, with observations and recommendations.

to ensure fitness-for-purpose.
