4. Main Menu Main Menu The Birth of a Vision… The OMATEK Computer Factory was conceived by it’s mother company, OMATEK VENTURES LIMITED (OVL). OMATEK Ventures itself has been in existence since 1986 when it was in the IT Training business and grew into executive training by 1988. By 1990, OVL has become a major reseller for Compaq, IBM, ACER, and APPLE amongst other world recognized computer brands. Background

6. Main Menu Main Menu Background The Birth of a Vision… Presently, the OMATEK COMPUTERS LIMITED – the factory produces OMATEK brand of computer products for OMATEK Ventures Limited as the brand owner and for other brand builders (OEM Partners).

7. Main Menu Main Menu Background Omatek Ghana Today, OMATEK has expanded its horizons with the setting up of OMATEK Ventures (Ghana) Ltd and OMATEK COMPUTERS (Ghana) Ltd, which is a carbon copy of the Nigerian factory.

10. Main Menu Main Menu Omatek Computers Limited Assembly of OEM Brands The OMATEK factory assembles OEM brands for other brand builders both local & foreign. These brands are customised in the OEM brand names. This has effectively generated employment for over 300 Nigerians in the assembly lines OMATEK is presently producing a low-cost PC for INTEL to fulfil the realization of CANI/GAPP initiative spearheaded by Intel and Microsoft, to digitally empower all Nigerians.

The factory production line produces casings of different forms and sizes for resellers as well as customized cases for other OEM builders and for exports. It also produces Omatek casings which can be customised for its corporate clients, parastatals and any other organisation that may require such value added services of having their company’s logo or names printed on them.

21. Main Menu Main Menu Digital Office & Home Entertainment Products MONITORS, FLATSCREEN & PLASMA SCREENS OMATEK also boasts of the local assembly of 3-in-1 Flat screen monitors that doubles also as a Television and Presentation Screen apart from it being a normal computer monitor.

Main Menu Main Menu The “e-Xpress Initiative” OMATEK is at present marketing an initiative tagged “ e-Xpress ” to help Nigerians realize their dream of owning computers in an easy and convenient form It has formed partnerships with various banks to provide the low-interest rate funding for the acquisition of computers by beneficiaries under the scheme.

The engineers in the service center are well trained, certified and experienced in the art of customer service delivery and professional service.

Main Menu Main Menu Research & Development OMATEK has partnered with the academic community to go into Joint Ventures for the establishment of RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (R & D) centres to sustain quality and excellence in its production process. Presently, the University of Ibadan has an OMATEK Centre of Excellence where R & D are carried out exclusively for OMATEK.

This means these raw will become easily available in our backyard. By this, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is heavily encouraged.

It was in this spirit that 0% Custom Duty on imports for local Computers builders was also approved.
