1. Russian Motifs
Ashberry is getting better in the beginning of winter and bring us joy until very recent days of autumn. This
design also reminds of Russian Khokholoma and it turns us to winter. Russia is well known as country of
great winters as you know.
You need
*1 varnish:
1 – black background,
*4 colors acrylic paints:
1 - gold for leaves
2 – black for leaves centres,
3 - red for berries,
4 – white for snow on berries,
*Top coat
* Thin brush
Do this nail design by one complete step for all fingers, for example polish all nails with background, then
draw leaves and draw centres with black, after draw berries and add touches of white paint. This method
will economize your time, your images will be similar and the same style, your acrylic paints will not dry
before your finish.
Some words about using acrylic paints: squeeze some paint on the palette (you can use a peace of some
plastic), than add a bit of water. You can dilute acrylic paints with water, but a bit, it will help to draw in
convenient way, and prevents them from fast drying. As soon as your acrylic paints have dried, it is
impossible to thin them again. Clean your brush in the cup of water every time after using the new color.
1) Use nail polish remover to prepare the nails, it will degrease them and allow polish to be much longer on
your nails. This rule is for natural and for artificial nails as well.
2) Apply black varnish as a background.
3) Draw leaves using gold acrylic paint.
4) Then draw leaves centers using black acrylic paint.
5) Draw berries using red acrylic paint.
6) Using white acrylic paint add some snow on berries.
7) Let nails dry for 2-3 minutes and then cover with top coat.
