Baptist Medical and Dental Mission International
exists under the Lordship of Jesus Christ to
evangelize the lost, disciple the saved and minister to
the needs of the poor.
3. History of BMDMI
Founded in 1974 by Charlie and Carolyn Herrington in
Honduras
Headquartered in Hattiesburg, Mississippi; teams
everywhere
Created short-term mission teams that payed their own
expenses to serve the poor and sick
In 1989 the ministry expanded to Nicaragua
They now plant churches, Christian schools, help relieve the
sick, and have full time missionaries in Honduras and
Nicaragua
