This document introduces the characters and stories created by a group of students for their English class projects over the past year. It describes the three main child characters - Kate, George, and Eva - and their grandfather, Peter. It also provides brief summaries of the three stories created - "Grandad's Surprise", "Lucky is in Trouble", and "Summer Adventure" - which involve the children having adventures at their grandfather's house over the summer. The document explains that the goals of the stories are to introduce topics related to transport, the local environment and history in their English lessons. It states that their next step is to plan how to use the stories and resources in their English classes during the next school year.
2. Our work
During this year we have been busy writing our own stories. We
have written a story for every cycle of Primary.
All of the stories share the same characters but the plot and the
themes are different in each one of them.
4. Grandad
His name is Peter. He is sixty-nine years old and he lives in the
country. He’s got blue eyes and he’s bald. He has a moustache and he
wears glasses.
He’s interested in cars and motorcycles because he was a mechanic.
He loves his grandchildren: Kate, George and Eva.
5. Kate
She’s 12 years old. She has red long hair. She likes following fashion
and she loves to look cool. One of her favourite things is sitting her
little sister on her knees and take her for a ride on her wheelchair.
6. George
He’s 9 years old. He’s got blond straight hair. He wears glasses and
he loves his blue cap. He likes riding his bike and going out into the
mountains with his friends. He likes to observe nature.
7. Eva
She’s five years old. She’s tall and she’s got brown hair. Her eyes are
green and she’s got freckles.
She’s a brave and adventurous little girl. She’s got a very good
relationship with her brother and sister and she loves
playing with their dog Lucky.
8. Our stories
Grandad’s surprise (E.I / C.I)
Lucky is in trouble (C.M)
Summer adventure (C.S)
The children visit their Grandad’s house during the summer holidays
and they get involved in great adventures.
In Grandad’s Surprise they discover Grandad’s van, In Lucky is in
trouble ,they organise a Clean-up the Congost River Day and in
Summer adventure they visit the prehistorical caves in Moià.
9. Our aims
Use our stories to introduce topics related to
tranport, local environment and local History
in our English lessons.
10. Next step
Our next step is to plan how can we use the stories in our English
classes and prepare all the resources and materials needed to use the
books and make the most of them.
That is our challenge for next school year 2015-2016.
