The Shapes Are All Around
   By: Savanah Gales
Linear Pair
A linear pair of angles is
              formed when two lines
              intersect. Two angles are
              linear if they are adjacent
              angles formed by two
              intersecting lines and they
              are supplementary.
Octagon
          A polygon with 8 sides
          and 8 angles.
Parallel lines
                 Two lines on a plane
                 that never meet and
                 are always the same
                 distance apart.
Parallelogram
                A parallelogram
                is a
                quadrilateral
                with opposite
                sides that are
                parallel. The
                opposite angles
                are congruent.
Arc
An Arc is a curved line
that is part of a circle.
Circle
A circle is a shape with all
         points the same distance
from its center. A circle is
         named by its center.
Trapezoid(Quadrilateral)
                           A quadrilateral with
                           only one pair of
                           parallel sides.
Isosceles
            A triangle with
            two congruent
            sides.
