Introduction:
A Good Samaritan is someone who voluntarily chooses to offer aid to someone who is injured or having an emergency. Some states actually have Good Samaritan laws to protect those who volunteer to render aid and consider it an act of negligence to not at least make a call for help. Good Samaritan laws vary by state but many offer immunity. Under the Good Samaritan laws which grant immunity, if the Good Samaritan makes an error while rendering emergency medical care, he or she cannot be held legally liable for damages in court. However, two conditions usually must be met; 1) the aid must be given at the scene of the emergency, and. 2) if the "volunteer" has other motives, such as the hope of being paid a fee or reward, then the law will not apply (US Legal, 2012).

NYPD Officer Larry DePrimo was caught on camera without knowing displaying a random act of kindness to a homeless man, on one cold day in November, 2012. The witness; Jennifer Foster, who also works in law enforcement as a civilian communications Director for the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, in Arizona was so impressed by the act that she stated “she had to bring attention to the policeman’s random act of kindness.” This selfless act by Officer DePrimo was done out of the goodness of his heart, with only the concern for the man who was on the streets of New York in the dead of winter without the proper attire to keep warm. Jennifer Foster witnessed and wrote that Officer DePrimo after presenting the man with the all-weather boots and thermal socks; the officer squatted down on the ground and proceed to then help place the socks and boots on the man’s feet. A dozen good samaritans rescue woman and disabled sister from
burning SUV
4. On Aug. 17, 2012 more than a dozen Good Samaritans step in to
rescue a woman and her disabled sister from a burning SUV.
More than a dozen people frantically worked to pull a woman
and her disabled sister from a burning SUV. Passersby leapt
from their vehicles, desperately flagging down truckers, trying
to get water, hoses, and fire extinguishers as the flames inched
closer and closer to the driver and her passenger.
Johnny Poulos with the Mississippi Highway Patrol described
the scene, saying that “the Good Samaritans were able to free
the driver’s disabled sister from the backseat first because they
had easier access to her. It was more difficult to free the driver
because of the position of the fire and its proximity to her, but
all the while the strangers reassured the panicking woman that
they wouldn’t leave her to burn.” (Fox News Insider, 2012).

Conclusion:
In conclusion, when hearing or viewing these acts on the news
or from others, we are typically amazed by the act(s) or for
some these are natural reactions for those to render aid to those
in need. However, in fact these acts are special, as they are
seldom performed. This is why those who perform these acts are
hailed not just for the act alone, but for they acted without the
thought or desire of recognition or gratitude.
Did George Zimmerman take his vigilante way too far
5. On the night of February 26 2012 George Zimmerman took the
life of an unarmed, claiming his actions were is self-defense.
Trayvon Martin the teenager that was killed by Zimmerman was
going to the store when he was seen by Zimmerman when he
was monitored, and tracked down by Zimmerman. Zimmerman
was a self-appointed watchman for the Twin Lakes where he
patrolled for years always looking for someone that looked
suspicious or some activity in the neighborhood. Mr.
Zimmerman always wanted to be a police officer it was an
obsession of his and it was said that some of the people in the
neighborhood said that he took his watchman job to seriously.
Zimmerman made the decision to become a vigilante killer when
he took the life of a unarmed innocent teenage boy. And the
hiding his sociopathic nature behind the stand-your law in 2005
and was given his freedom temporality but hopefully this will
change in the near future and provide justice for a teenager that
lost his life at the hands of a vigilante killer.

Killing of Bellingham sex offenders may have been by
vigilante, police say.
A man claiming to be an FBI agent dropped in on three level 3
6. sex offenders living together supposedly to warm them of an
internet hit list that was targeting sex offenders. But that man
was not an FBI agent this was a hit list that he that he created
on his own. And on that Saturday morning two of the
roommates was found with gunshots wounds and the Bellingham
police are investigating a crime that authorities say may be the
nation’s most serious of cases of vigilantism aimed at sex
offenders. The killing also highlight a potential problem about
Washington 1910 law requiring sex offenders to register their
addresses so that they can be track by the public.
Planned Parenthood vs. Casey
In 1992 in Pennsylvania there was a court case with Planned
Parenthood vs. Casey. Certain rules and laws apply when a
procedure is done and is required by abortion providers, such
as, the babies’ age. Planned Parenthood felt that the laws
compromised their patient’s confidentiality and didn’t adhere to
the laws.
Same sex marriages
This case is about same sex marriages. The case is basically
about gay’s wanting to be married and it being unconstitutional
to take away their right to marry when it’s been allowed in the
past. They feel as if they’re being discriminated against.
Loving vs. Virginia
This was the Loving vs. Virginia case in 1967. Mildred Jeter
was a 17 year old woman and Richard Loving was a 23 year old
man, which were high school sweethearts and married in
Washington D.C. and later returned to their hometown in
Virginia that banned interracial marriage. The couple was
charged with unlawful cohabitation and jailed.
7. Former President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky Affair.
Criminal acts committed by professionals in the course of their
employment, other than criminal justice professionals, in which
the defendant was believed to have violated the ethical
standards of his or her profession.
June 1995: Monica Lewinsky, 21 years of age, went to work at
the White house as an intern. According to FBI.gov “Lewinsky
and President Bill Clinton begin a sexual relationship,
according to audiotapes secretly recorded later by Linda Tripp.”
(FBI.Gov, 1998) December 1995: Lewinsky moves into a paid
position in the Office of Legislative Affairs, handling letters
from members of Congress. She frequently ferries mail to the
Oval Office. Then-Deputy White House Chief of Staff Evelyn
Lieberman transfers Lewinsky to a job as an assistant to
Pentagon spokesman Ken Bacon. Lieberman told The New York
Times the move was due to "inappropriate and immature
behavior" and inattention to work. At the Pentagon, Lewinsky
meets Tripp, a career government worker. Lewinsky started to
tell Tripp about her affair that she and former President Clinton
had. Tripp encountered a women name Kathleen Willey leaving
President Clinton’s office with her lipstick off and “a look of
shock” Willey later alleged that Clinton groped her. Tripp had
begun to tape conversations that he was having with Monica
about sexual relations that she and President Clinton shared.
Aug. 6, 1998: Monica Lewinsky appears before the grand jury
to begin her testimony. Aug. 11, 1998: Hollywood producer and
Clinton friend Harry Thomason testifies before the grand jury.
Aug. 17, 1998 President Bill Clinton becomes the first sitting
president to testify before a grand jury investigating his
conduct. After the questioning at the White House is finished,
Clinton goes on national TV to admit he had an inappropriate
relationship with Monica Lewinsky.
Aug. 19, 1998: Word that Starr has requested and received a
sample of Clinton's DNA becomes public. Monica Lewinsky
8. testifies before the grand jury for a second time.
September 9, 1998: Independent Counsel Ken Starr submits his
report and 18 boxes of supporting documents to the House of
Representatives. The House of Representative votes to receive
the Starr report. The House Judiciary Committee takes
possession of the 18 boxes of materials and promptly releases
the first 445 pages to the public. The House Judiciary
Committee agrees to release President Clinton's videotaped
grand jury testimony and more than 3,000 pages of supporting
material from the Starr report, including sexually explicit
testimony from Monica Lewinsky.
September 21, 1998: The Judiciary Committee releases and
many television networks immediately broadcast more than four
hours of President Clinton's videotaped grand jury testimony.
Along with the videotape, the Judiciary Committee also releases
the appendix to the Starr's report which includes 3,183 pages of
testimony and other evidence, including a photograph of
Lewinsky's semen-stained dress. September 24, 1998: The
House Judiciary Committee announces the committee will
consider a resolution to begin an impeachment inquiry against
President Clinton in an open session on October 5 or October 6.
Kobe Bryant rape Allegations
August 31, 2004, Lakers Star Kobe Bryant had to appear at the
justice court center in Denver Cool, for to answer questions
about an alleged rape that had taken place involving him and
another woman. A woman had claimed that Kobe Bryant took
her by the throat, bent her over a chair, and forcibly had sex
with her. This woman was a 19 year old employee at the hotel in
which Kobe Bryant was staying at for the weekend. Kobe
Bryant admitted to having consensual sex with the women,
however; he maintains his innocents throughout the case. The
case took for a shocking turn when the women was examined,
9. and the exam test showed that she had sex with three different
guys in three days. The women story was all over the place, and
she sometimes lied throughout the case. Kobe Bryant had a
press conference later that year where he and his wife sat side
by side as he began to apologize to his wife and fans for his
misconduct. Kobe acknowledges that although he did not rape
the women, he was still wrong for having sex outside of his
marriage. Kobe Bryant was found not guilty and was not charge
with any criminal charges, however; the women did file a civil
suit.
Donald Sterling caught on audiotapes…
Donald Sterling was an NBA francise owner of the Los Angelos
Clippers, but after being recorded by his assistant and longtime
girlfriend making offensive, racist comments he was forced to
sell the team. April 25: “TMZ released recorded audio of a man,
who was believed to be Donald Sterling, making offensive,
racist comments towards V. Stiviano, Sterling's personal
assistant. At this point, nobody is certain whether the recording
is legitimate, but few doubt it given Sterling's lengthy history of
racial discrimination.” That night, Clippers players held a
meeting to discuss the news, less than 24 hours before the team
would play Golden State in Game 4 of a first-round playoff
series. April 26: Public responses to Sterling flood in during
that weekend, including words from respected basketball
legends like Magic Johnson and LeBron James, as well as
current Clippers like Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan. The
"Inside the NBA" crew over at TNT also digs into the situation,
offering TV viewers a solid, sobered take on things. Meanwhile,
Commissioner Adam Silver calls the recording "truly offensive
and disturbing," but says Sterling will be afforded due process.
Numerous owners also speak out on the matter, many offering
their vocal support of the commissioner's office to respond
appropriately. Prior to their Game 4 loss against the Warriors,
10. the Clippers' players staged a protest by tossing their warm-up
jackets at midcourt. April 27: The developments keep coming
just two days after the initial revelation, including the release of
a second recording and public comments from President Barack
Obama. The message to NBA leadership is clear: Sterling needs
to go. April 28: Major sponsors begin to drop the Clippers,
including State Farm, Kia, CarMax and Virgin America. Head
coach Doc Rivers tells reporters he's not sure he'll stay with the
Clippers next season if Sterling still owns the franchise. This
was not breaking any laws; however, it is consider unethical to
many across the world.
