2. They were still at the Interpreter’s
house. I’m starting to run out of ideas,
Mip told the interpreter. I’m not sure I
can keep my blog going.
She’s right, Mop concurred. There’s
things I can’t quite remember. When I do
a search, I don’t think I’m getting the
best responses, because I’m not using
the right search terms.
3. Back in olden days, you could go into a library with lots of books, and just browse among the
shelves until something struck your fancy. I want that again, that serendipitous feeling of falling
over something I’m interested in - but not entirely random.
Mip and Mop stared into the Slough beyond the Interpreter’s gate. After a while, a young girl
waded over. Is this Mip? She asked. Mip nodded.
4. Wow!, She enthused. I love your blog! I love the way you’ve woven in
astro-physics and street art, it’s given me a whole new take! I’ve added
you to my RSS feed, every time you do a new post I look at it immediately!
What’s an RSS feed?, Mip asked blankly.
Why don’t I show you mine?’ The girl held Mip’s and Mop’s hands, and
whisked them away. Soon they were standing on a street in a large city.
The girl, who was called Pip, waved her hands at the walls. Mip could see
that they were constructed out of other people’s blogs.
5. These are the blogs I like, she explained. I’ve gathered them all here in this
one place. They automatically get updated with your new content, I don’t
have to search for it, or visit your site at all.
This is exactly what I need! Instead of having to remember all the blogs I
like, I can just subscribe to them and look at them here whenever I want!
