Bleeding

Q.1 what is bleeding?
Ans. It is leakage of blood outside the blood vessels.
Q.2 what is types of bleeding?
Ans. There are three types of bleeding. That are.1- Arterial.
2- Venous.
3- Capillaries.

Q.3 what is arterial bleeding?
Ans. It’s from arteries, it will be spurting as the each beat of heart, it’s hard to control and difficult
for clot to from, and its carries oxygenate blood from the heart. Because, it has air in blood so it’s
colour bright red, Arterial bleeding can occurs life threatening blood loss.

Q.4 what is venous bleeding?
Ans. It is from veins, is easier to control than arterial bleeding, because the blood in the veins is
under less pressure, which assists to clotting. And because it carries less oxygen, venous blood a
much darker red, it carries unoxygeneted blood to the heart.

Q.5 what is capillaries bleeding?
Ans. It is generated by capillaries, it’s smallest part of our body’s blood vessels. It’s easier to control
than arteries. As capillaries are closest to surface skin, it is usually slow, oozing in nature this type of
bleeding has a higher risk of infection than other bleeding.

Q.6 How to control the External Bleeding?
Ans. There are two type of management of bleeding.

1. Safety Measure:1. Carry out primary assessment, DRS ABCD.
2. Seek medical attention. Make sure EMS on route.
3. Apply direct pressure.
4. Elevation.
5. Carry out secondary assessment.

2. Major Management:1. Direct Pressure-Apply direct pressure on the wound use a dressing if available, If not
available so, you can use a rag, towel, piece of clothing on your hand alone.
2. Elevetion- If continuous bleeding , do not suspect a fracture, elevate the wound above
the heart level and continuous the direct pressure.
3. Tourniquet- If bleeding till can’t be controlled, the next and final step to stop the
bleeding, To apply a pressure bandage over the wound. That’s called tourniquet
bandage.
4. Note:i.
After once applied bandage do not remove that.
ii.
After the bandage is in place it important to check pulse, Make sure
