Animal Farm
Do you believe that the space or place can affect your
characters and your interaction? In one-way or other everything
around us can affect our characters in different way. Animals
farm is famous novel written by George Orwell. It focuses
basically on the political issues. Here the author has personified
the animals and through them he tries to express his views on
different political issues of that time. In addition, environment
can shapes animals and humans behavior in various ways. Place
also can change animals and humans because of laws and rules
of certain place. Space change humans and animals interact
because of environment, law and rules.
First, environment plays the most important roles that change
animals and humans characters and behavior. For instance,
when the farm is owned by Mr.Jones the animals have a tough
and hard life in the farm, so that the animals gather in the farm
and plan a rebellion. Under the leadership of Old Major, a pig
the meeting is arranged and everybody discusses about the
oppression by their master and decides to do something against
them. Old Major, later on dies but his thought inspire the
animals of the farm and they decide to do something against
Jones, the owner. In addition, the rebellion takes place because
the animals need their freedom and better life for their
generation. After that the rebellion occurred the whole
environment change so they begin to lean, study and help each
other in their work. They do everything in farm such as collect
the cone and apple, clean the farm and finish their week
schedule. For instance, every Sunday animals meeting in the
Barn and take their week schedule from the leadership of
Napoleon.
Moreover, environment can change people interaction
indifferent place. For example, when you went to the schools
you interact different inside and outside the school. The
students inside the classroom they cannot play, speak and laugh
with their friends in the classroom. They also should respect
their teacher and be attention to the lecturer. However, student
can do what they need outside the school such as play, speak
loud and laugh with their friends. In addition, law and rule also
can shape people and animals interaction.
Second, law and rule shape animals and people interaction
in the place or space. In the Barn there is seven commandments
written in the well. When animals enter the Barn there is some
rules that they should follow. For example, when animals come
in the came by order so every one have has seat. After that the
animals listen to Old Major who is the leader of rebellion
(before he is die). Also, they do their voting about new decision
in the Barn. For example, when they want to build the Windmill
they made the voting before they build it. In addition, one of
seven commandments is “No animals shall kill any
animal”(Orwell, 24) such as cuts cannot eat mouse in Animals
Farm. Also, “all animals are equal “in Animals Farm, later the
seven commandments are reduced to one single law “all animals
are equal but some are more equal than others”(Orwell, 134).
Thus we see the use of multiple spaces in the novel. For
example, when one of pig tells for animals that milk and winder
fall apples should be reserved for pigs alone.
Moreover, law and rule change people interaction in the place.
For instance, when student want to the library they should
respect library laws. They should be quiet inside library also
they should return the books in their place. When student want
to use the group rooms they should do online appointment
before they go. In library there is place for study student should
keep their phone silent so that not disturbing others student.
To sum up place and space can change and shape human
and animals interaction in various ways because of
environment, law and rules. This topic is important because we
can see that people and animals can change their interaction
with different situation that face them. Also it presents various
social interactions between animals and humans like freedom.
