1. Assigning a user from outside the HR
structure to the SRM organizational
structure

2. Description of requirement
 To be able to declare a user (SU01) in the SRM organizational structure without having
to declare him/her in the HR part of the ECC system.
 Some users of the purchasing portal (service providers, TMAs, etc.) need to be able to
access the SRM part of the system.
 Use of the SRM part requires these users to be declared in the organizational
structure.
 Assignment to the SRM organizational structure is automatic as soon as users have a
personnel number and an assignment in the SAP HR part (standard operation with
synchronization from the HR structure to the SRM organizational structure).
 As service providers are not intended to be in the HR system, it is necessary to assign
their identifiers (ID SU01) manually.
 The USERS_GEN transaction is used to assign users of type SU01 in the organizational
structure, but as HR synchronization is activated, we get this error message.

3. Technical set-up
 Prerequisite: the user logged on to the
system must have authorization to
modify debug values (type S_DEBUG)
and must have authorization to create
relations (type PLOG).

4. User assignment in the organizational
structure
 The program stops in debug mode.
 Click on the part circled in red.
 The zone appears in the "Variable"
tab.
 Click on the "Modify" button The zone
can now be modified
 Delete the X value and press the
"Enter" key on your keyboard.
 You should see the screen below.
 Click on the red-circled button (or the
F8 button on your keyboard) to
complete the process.

5. User assignment in the organizational
structure
 You should see the screen below.
 Indicate the node to which the user is to be assigned and click on "Next".
 On the popup that appears, select "User domain".
 Enter the user ID and confirm.
