GM Tutorial Steps for Beginners to do Presentation
1. Tutorial and tips on how to do a
simple Google Meet session
with your pupils.
2. First step : make a slide presentation using
Microsoft Powerpoint based on your lesson.
Tips :
1. for the best view, just use a white backdrop. Do not bother to use
colourful backgrounds.
2. Only use colours for the important things that you want to highlight.
For example, topics or important notes.
3. Second Step : Create a GM link.
• Go to google Search.
• Type “ google meet ”. Then click the first link.
• Then, click “ New Meeting ” and select “ Create a new meeting for
later ”.
• A link will be given. Copy and save the link.
4. Third Step : Write a short early memo to send
to the class Whatsapp Group
• You can copy this memo.
( I wrote the notice like this ).
• Send the memo one day before.
5. Fourth Step ( on the teaching day ) : Send the
memo again with a slight adjustment.
6. Fifth Step : Join the GM using the link that
you have saved earlier.
Important tips :
1. Make sure you are the first one to join the link.
2. You must join the link using your Delima email. ( Email ID yang kita
guna untuk google classroom. )
3. Click “ Join Now ” and wait for your pupils.

7. The reason why you need to use your Delima email ID is
because :
•There are cases where someone can’t the join
the GM when you use normal email address.
(especially those teachers’ sons and daughters
who used their mom’s email address)
•But if you use the Delima email ID, the pupils
who can’t join the GM will be able to join
without problem.
8. Sixth Step : ”Admit” pupils to join the GM.
• When pupils click the link, they will send a request to join the GM.
• So, teacher needs to click “Admit”.
• If you misclicked “Deny”, don’t worry. The pupils can send the request
again by just re-clicking the link.
9. Seventh Step : Present your slides.
• When it is time to teach, you can click “ Present Now ”.
• What this will do is, your laptop will share its screen with the pupils.
• So , it is best if you could ready your slides at once ( so that they
won’t be able to see something else that are on your laptop. )
10. • Ask your pupils to rotate their phone for better viewing. ( landscape mode )
• They can view the slides better and bigger in landscape mode.
11. Important Tips :
1. To avoid the kids to talk or interrupt during your lesson, you can choose
to mute all mics.
2. Do this step before you start presenting and teaching.
Look at the top right corner
of your screen, Click the
“People” icon.
Then, just click “ All Muted”
icon.
12. Eighth Step : At the end of the session
• When you have finished your slides, you can end the call.
• Make sure you click “ Just leave the call ” because you can use the
same link again if you want to do another GM session.
• If you click “End the call”, you need to create another link for next GM
session.
