2. “It shall greatly help ye to understand the
Scriptures if thou mark not only what is
spoken or written, but of whom and to
whom, with what words, at what time,
where, to what intent, with what
circumstances, considering what goeth
before and what followeth after. ”
― Myles Coverdale
4. Faith Was not supposed to be a barrier
between us and God
Jesus tore the veil, don’t put a veil back up.
Great Faith is nothing more than looking to
Jesus – Depending on His power, mercy and
faithfulness
5. Every time Jesus said “ye of little faith” or
“you faithless generation,” He was talking to
Jews under the law
Matthew 8:25
Matthew 16:8
Mark 9:16
Jesus will never tell believers they have little
faith!
6. Luke 17:5 And the apostles said to the Lord,
“Increase our faith.”
6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a
mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry
tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted
in the sea,’ and it would obey.
Jesus explains you don’t need to increase
anything.
The smallest amount of faith in Jesus is enough
to operate in the supernatural.
7. Jesus only tells two people they have “great
faith.”
They were both Gentiles, not under the law
The Roman Centurion in Matthew 8
The woman with a demon possessed daughter
in Matthew 15
8. Matthew 15:22 And, behold, a woman of
Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried
unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord,
thou son of David; my daughter is grievously
vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his
disciples came and besought him, saying, Send
her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but
unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
9. Matthew 15:25 Then came she and
worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to
take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat
of the crumbs which fall from their masters'
table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O
woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even
as thou wilt. And her daughter was made
whole from that very hour.
10. They didn’t pray, fast, read the Word, meditate,
confess, build their faith, confess the Word, pray
in the Spirit, attend a Word of Faith church, have
a relationship with Christ, mature in faith……
They “heard” and believed in Jesus
Believe in Jesus and you “HAVE GREAT FAITH”
11. In Paul’s letters to the Gentiles, he never tells
believers to “believe” or “increase their faith”
It took faith to enter the family of God, but
now everything Jesus accomplished is ours.
You have your full inheritance as a son. There
is no need to struggle or build faith.
You are a “believer” you have “faith”
12. He has freely given us “all things” Romans
8:32
He has blessed us with “all spiritual blessings
in Christ” Ephesians 1:3
All of the promises are “yes” and “amen” in
Christ 2 Cor 1:20
13. Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he
should be the heir of the world, was not to
Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but
through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs,
faith is made void, and the promise made of
none effect:
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where
no law is, there is no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by
grace; to the end the promise might be sure
to all the seed
14. I Corinthians 11:24
“Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for
you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the
same manner He also took the cup after supper,
saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood.
This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance
of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink
this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He
comes.
