plighted faith, worthy of trust; one that can be relied on.

discerning and judging correctly, or of discriminating between
what is true and what is false; between what is fit and proper, and
what is improper (Webster’s 1828).
Slave – Doulos, a slave in its strictest since.

Christian!!!
8. Who Then is a Faithful and Wise Servant
Matthew 24:45 NKJV

2. We are Rulers over His Household
3. We are to give them food in due season
9. Who Then is a Faithful and Wise Servant
1. We have been made Rulers by our Master
Ruler – (kathistēmi) literally to place down;
means to appoint one to administer an office or
work.
Master – (kurios) better translated “Lord.”
10. Who Then is a Faithful and Wise Servant
1. We have been made Rulers by our Master
2. We are Rulers over His Household
What is the Lord’s household?
11. The Church is the Lord’s Household
Ephesians 2:19-22 NKJV Now, therefore, you are no longer
strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and
members of the household of God, (20) having been built on the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself
being the chief cornerstone, (21) in whom the whole building,
being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, (22) in
whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of
God in the Spirit.
12. Who Then is a Faithful and Wise Servant
1. We have been made Rulers by our Master
2. We are Rulers over His Household
3. We are to give them food in due season
Who is the them?
“Give them food at the proper time.” (ESV)
13. Nourishment –
1. That which serves to promote the growth of animals
or plants, or to repair the waste of animal bodies; food;
sustenance; nutriment.
2. Nutrition; support of animal or vegetable bodies.
3. Instruction, or that which promotes growth in
attainments; as nourishment and growth in grace.
So they may learn to seek the nourishment of their
souls. (Webster’s 1828)
14. 1 Peter 2:1-3 NKJV Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit,
hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, (2) as newborn babes,
desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, (3)
if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1 Corinthians 3:1-3 NKJV (1) And I, brethren, could not speak to
you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.
(2) I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you
were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able;
(3) for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and
divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere
men?
15. We Want Meat
Hebrews 5:12-14 NKJV For though by
this time you ought to be teachers, you
need someone to teach you again the
first principles of the oracles of God;
and you have come to need milk and
not solid food. (13) For everyone who
partakes only of milk is unskilled in the
word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
(14) But solid food belongs to those
who are of full age, that is, those who
by reason of use have their senses
exercised to discern both good and evil.
16. Christians are blessed when:
Matthew 24:46-47 NKJV
1. When the Lord comes again
2. When the Lord finds us so doing.
3. When He comes we get the goods.
17. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 NKJV (14) Do not be unequally yoked
together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness
with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
(15) And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a
believer with an unbeliever? (16) And what agreement has the
temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living
God. As God has said: "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG
THEM. I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE."
(17) Therefore "COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM AND BE
SEPARATE, SAYS THE LORD. DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN,
AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU." (18) "I WILL BE A FATHER TO YOU,
AND YOU SHALL BE MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS, SAYS THE LORD
ALMIGHTY.”
18. When the Lord Comes again:
Matthew 24:50-51 NKJV
1. Have you made preparations.
19. Luke 12:46-47 NKJV the master of that servant will
come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an
hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and
appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. (47) And
that servant who knew his master's will, and did not
prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be
beaten with many stripes.
20. The Prepared
Matthew 25:34 NKJV Then the King will say to
those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of
My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world:

those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you
cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the
devil and his angels:
Matthew 25:46 NKJV And these will go away into
everlasting punishment, but the righteous into
eternal life.”
