This document summarizes the practical year training program activities of student Franklin Ekene. The program exposes students to real-life farming through on-campus activities like vegetable production and off-campus postings to farms. On-campus, Ekene participated in vegetable production, seeds production, maize production and horticulture. In postings, he assisted in piggery, poultry, feed mill and dairy units. Ekene also helped with maize, cassava and oil palm production during a posting to Ile-Ogbo farm. The training broadened his knowledge of agriculture and he discovered new areas of interest to pursue in the field.
