Version control is the process of organising documents in a way that gives people access to the most up to date versions when they need them.
Updating documents is part of our commitment to continuous improvement. This means that there are many different events that create a need to update documents.
These revisions may include: -accuracy and relevance to identified evidence requirements -meeting rules of evidence and principles of assessment -relevance to workplace context -suitability to potential candidates -engagement and direct participation of candidates -suitability of language and literacy level for intended audience and -clarity
Creating a system for documenting versions is important. Each version should include the: - File name and where it is located - Date it was created - Who created it - And when it will next be reviewed
After a revision is completed, it is important to notify all relevant people that there is a newer updated version available.
