Plan for a Healthy Lifestyle

Final Evaluation.
NHS Project.
This is my final product for my tv advert. The idea behind my advert was a balance lifestyle. I had 4 scenes. The first scene was a calm relaxing walk where I showed
that you can get active while also relaxing and enjoying beautiful nature. For the first shot of this scene, it is an establishing shot at an eye level angle from behind. I
chose the establishing shot as I wanted to show the audience the beautiful scenery to show how they don’t need to be at gym to be doing fitness and also so they can
see the actor and introduce him so they can build a relationship with him from the start. I chose the eye level angle from behind because this angle implies that the
audience is following me and going to follow in my footsteps and going to start there journey also it looks like the actor is guiding the audience to start getting active.
The second shot of this scene is a medium long shot I chose this shot as I feel like it has the perfect balance of capturing the beautiful setting and also capturing the
emotion of the actor enjoying his walk. I shot this at slightly below eye level, so the audience was able to see the emotion of the actor. The final shot of this scene is a
medium long shot from a high angle. I choose the MLS because once again it captures both emotion and setting perfectly. The reason I picked this angle is because it
is like we are watching the actor this gives off the actor has pressure on him to get active so hopefully the audience also feels this pressure and this pressure forces
them to get active. Also, it is on a tilt/Dutch angle this shows that the journey will be tough and “uphill” but that it is possible to overcome, and I feel like this will inspire
the audience.
The second scene is the high intense football scene. The first shot of this scene is the POV shot. I chose this shot as it makes the audience feel like it is them doing the
exercise this means it allows them to experience how fun it is to exercise. Also, this shot adds to the intensity of the scene as you can see every bit of movement, and
this shot also is a bit shaky which also adds to the intensity. I wanted this scene to be intense to show that getting active will be intense and will be challenging at times,
but you are able to get over it. The second shot on this scene is a close from a low angle. This shot allows the audience to see the emotion in the actors face during the
exercise which shows the challenge while be hard as the actor looks tired, but he gets through it which should show to the audience they can do it. I choose the low
angle because it look like you are looking up to the actor which is getting active this conveys the meaning that if you do exercise people will start looking up to you and
you will inspire to get fit themselves and people will admire you. The final shot is close up on an eye level angle. I choose this because it is like the fans are cheering
the audience on for getting active and helping inspire them. The shot is close up to show how happy the fans are of the audience for doing this. This should inspire the
audience to get active as it shows so many people will be happy for them starting their journey.
The third scene is me relaxing at home showing how even on a healthy lifestyle you still get to relax and treat yourself. The first shot is a medium long shot. I chose
this because it allows me to set the scene while also capturing details such as the crisp packet. I feel like it is important that the audience sees the crisp packet because
this is what show that while getting healthy you can still treat yourself ad this will show the audience the real side of a healthy life which they will not fear which should
led to more people getting healthy and this helps my client once again. The second shot is an over the shoulder shot. This shot was chosen because the audience to
see more of the surroundings which also shows the TV in the background this will also show how during your journey of a healthy lifestyle you still get to relax and
watch what you want to. This will make the audience happier as it shows you don’t have to sacrifice relaxation which then will make them more likely to start their
journey which will make them healthier which once again helps the client meet their goal. Finally, this is the last shot of my footage this shot is once again a medium
close up, I wanted to end my actual footage on this as I want the audience to take the scene in one more time. In the scene they will see the actor relaxing with some
crisp and their pet. They will remember this scene and realize a healthy lifestyle isn't that hard this will once again inspire them to start their journey as they won't be too
scared to start.
For this advert I feel like I have kept with the codes and conventions as I have included someone getting active, it is on for 50 seconds which is similar to other
products, it tells a story which the NHS like to do and also includes NHS logo like all the other TV adverts.
While doing this advert I felt confident, and I was able to edit it efficiently as I already have experimented on transitions and editing on premier pro while doing my
cowboy shootout video.

Final Evaluation.

This is my final project for my print advert, the idea behind this project was to show the actor
getting active and to inspire my audience into becoming healthy. I choose to take an establishing
shot from eye level for this advert. I choose the establishing shot as I wanted to include the setting
in the scene as it shows me in a beautiful forest which will intrigue the audience as they get to see
all these beautiful places while getting active. I believe the eye level angle was the best as it gives
off the effect that you after following me this then means you are following in my footsteps and I
am guiding you on your journey of getting active. Next I used rule of thirds to position my actor to
the right of the scene as I wanted to put the text on the side as when I did research into active
adverts I saw this a lot I believe it looks really good and it allows me to put the inspirational quote
very big to the side so it stands out and my audience will read it which hopefully will inspire them. I
picked the right side instead of the left as the sun is positioned on the right so it looks like the sun
is shining down on me which conveys the meaning of hope which shows my audience that they
should have hope to change as everyone can. Also as the sun is setting it implies that it’s the end
of something this could mean it’s the end of my audience being lazy and not getting active . For
the text I used sans serif font as it is easy to read so my audience understands the quote and I
wanted to show the seriousness of my advert and to show the audience that them not being
healthy and not being active is a serious problem which could cause them danger. I also showed
danger in my text by the use of colour, that’s why I changed one of the words to red to convey the
meaning of danger as this is a connotation of the colour red. The reason why I chose the word
“always” is because it’s an adverb and an adverb comes before the verb(action) this implies that
the danger because before you start to get active and once you start the danger disappears this
should have a fear factor on my audience which hopefully “scares” them into changing. I changed
with tint of this advert on photoshop to orange and also colour corrected it to look the best quality.
I now know the best way to colour correct the image as well now from previous work such as my
cowboy shootout and my college promo advert. For this advert I have stayed with the codes and
conventions but also challenged them. For example I stayed with the codes and conventions as I
used the NHS logo and better health logo to promote the client on my advert however I went
against them as normally the stick to one colour throughout the full advert where as I used many
colour as my advert was based outdoors. I believe this is better as more colours means they can
convey more meanings which should create a better effect on the audience. Also I think the
outdoors is a good idea as it fits the psychographics of explores and will allow them to explore new
places which will then leads them to getting active which is my goal.

Reflecting on stages.
I began my journey of this campaign by first interpreting the brief this stage was very important because this is where I broke down each
step of my journey and planned out each stage. Next, I had to research my client in my opinion I think this is one of the most important parts
of the campaign as I based my full advert from this research as my main goal is to please my client and achieve their goal for them. I
researched into the history of the client this allowed me to have a good understanding of the client and how they ran the business and what
worked for them and what didn’t. Also, I researched into previous and current products this is where I got most of my inspiration from and
deiced what I was going to do. I believe this research was the most important stage of my project as this is where I learnt the most of how
marketing and media worked. So, this helped me a lot on my journey. Not only did I research into the client I also done immense research
into my audience as they are the main part of my advert and if they don’t like it then I will fail. For my research I done many things such as
focus groups. This helped me to get a more detailed understanding of my audience and their dislikes and likes, what they do, there day to
day life. Due to this it allowed me to identify the problem and then base my advert around this problem to help my client achieve more. I also
done multiple surveys to find out more information on my audience which once again I can base my advert around.
Although this was the most important stage of my journey, the most important skill I learnt was experimentation this is because it allowed
me to learn what worked and didn’t work. It taught me how to use different software's and how different ways to film. Not only did it help with
my technical work it also helped me with my organization and planning as I experimented then reviewed my results and saw which was the
best way to do things. However, I also believe experimentation is pointless without feedback and reviewing it. I have learnt so much from
feedback as this allows me to learn what my audience actually likes and what works for them, and this then will help my client. Also,
feedback helps me planning wise and how to structure as I can ask people with professional experience which I can then learn from with
there feedback, so feedback and experimentation is what has helped me the most in this project.
One way I learnt from experimentation is doing other work, for example my cowboy shootout I did. While doing this I tried out many different
techniques for shooting shots and editing then. This was the first time using premier pro, so I learnt which transitions worked best, how to
add music, how to color correct/ change background color. Also, I learnt how to take shots and capture emotion from the actor and set the
scene. Although this wasn’t my best work, I learnt what I did well and areas I could improve in my next project, and I have done this for the
NHS project. For example, my cowboy shootout video did not flow as well as I would have liked whereas in my NHS Tv advert, I believe it
flows perfectly so by experimenting on other work I have learnt how to improve areas which will benefit me in the future.

The importance of planning.
Without planning my advert and the full process would have
been a mess. I found planning a key part of my success with
this project as it helped me in many different ways. One way it
helped me was organisation, as I was organised it meant I could
overcome any problem for example I planned in to film on this
particular day however as I've mentioned before I was ill so I
was unable however because I was organised it allowed me to
plan in another day as I knew my schedule and knew I had
enough time to film on this day so this was extremely important.
Also it allowed me to schedule in time for editing and actors
which meant I felt more in control which allowed me to not rush
and make sure everything was perfect before my deadline.
Not only did planning allow me to be organised it also allowed
me to be efficient with my work. For example I planned out both
of my adverts using a story bored this meant when I went to film
I knew exactly what shots to take and also at what angle
because of this my film process was quick as a result it allowed
me more time to edit and also get feedback on them. Planning is
what kept this process smooth and allowed me to get the best
out of my advert so it was extremely important I did this.

  • 2. z Final Evaluation. NHS Project. This is my final product for my tv advert. The idea behind my advert was a balance lifestyle. I had 4 scenes. The first scene was a calm relaxing walk where I showed that you can get active while also relaxing and enjoying beautiful nature. For the first shot of this scene, it is an establishing shot at an eye level angle from behind. I chose the establishing shot as I wanted to show the audience the beautiful scenery to show how they don’t need to be at gym to be doing fitness and also so they can see the actor and introduce him so they can build a relationship with him from the start. I chose the eye level angle from behind because this angle implies that the audience is following me and going to follow in my footsteps and going to start there journey also it looks like the actor is guiding the audience to start getting active. The second shot of this scene is a medium long shot I chose this shot as I feel like it has the perfect balance of capturing the beautiful setting and also capturing the emotion of the actor enjoying his walk. I shot this at slightly below eye level, so the audience was able to see the emotion of the actor. The final shot of this scene is a medium long shot from a high angle. I choose the MLS because once again it captures both emotion and setting perfectly. The reason I picked this angle is because it is like we are watching the actor this gives off the actor has pressure on him to get active so hopefully the audience also feels this pressure and this pressure forces them to get active. Also, it is on a tilt/Dutch angle this shows that the journey will be tough and “uphill” but that it is possible to overcome, and I feel like this will inspire the audience. The second scene is the high intense football scene. The first shot of this scene is the POV shot. I chose this shot as it makes the audience feel like it is them doing the exercise this means it allows them to experience how fun it is to exercise. Also, this shot adds to the intensity of the scene as you can see every bit of movement, and this shot also is a bit shaky which also adds to the intensity. I wanted this scene to be intense to show that getting active will be intense and will be challenging at times, but you are able to get over it. The second shot on this scene is a close from a low angle. This shot allows the audience to see the emotion in the actors face during the exercise which shows the challenge while be hard as the actor looks tired, but he gets through it which should show to the audience they can do it. I choose the low angle because it look like you are looking up to the actor which is getting active this conveys the meaning that if you do exercise people will start looking up to you and you will inspire to get fit themselves and people will admire you. The final shot is close up on an eye level angle. I choose this because it is like the fans are cheering the audience on for getting active and helping inspire them. The shot is close up to show how happy the fans are of the audience for doing this. This should inspire the audience to get active as it shows so many people will be happy for them starting their journey. The third scene is me relaxing at home showing how even on a healthy lifestyle you still get to relax and treat yourself. The first shot is a medium long shot. I chose this because it allows me to set the scene while also capturing details such as the crisp packet. I feel like it is important that the audience sees the crisp packet because this is what show that while getting healthy you can still treat yourself ad this will show the audience the real side of a healthy life which they will not fear which should led to more people getting healthy and this helps my client once again. The second shot is an over the shoulder shot. This shot was chosen because the audience to see more of the surroundings which also shows the TV in the background this will also show how during your journey of a healthy lifestyle you still get to relax and watch what you want to. This will make the audience happier as it shows you don’t have to sacrifice relaxation which then will make them more likely to start their journey which will make them healthier which once again helps the client meet their goal. Finally, this is the last shot of my footage this shot is once again a medium close up, I wanted to end my actual footage on this as I want the audience to take the scene in one more time. In the scene they will see the actor relaxing with some crisp and their pet. They will remember this scene and realize a healthy lifestyle isn't that hard this will once again inspire them to start their journey as they won't be too scared to start. For this advert I feel like I have kept with the codes and conventions as I have included someone getting active, it is on for 50 seconds which is similar to other products, it tells a story which the NHS like to do and also includes NHS logo like all the other TV adverts. While doing this advert I felt confident, and I was able to edit it efficiently as I already have experimented on transitions and editing on premier pro while doing my cowboy shootout video.
  • 3. z Final Evaluation. NHS Project. This is my final project for my print advert, the idea behind this project was to show the actor getting active and to inspire my audience into becoming healthy. I choose to take an establishing shot from eye level for this advert. I choose the establishing shot as I wanted to include the setting in the scene as it shows me in a beautiful forest which will intrigue the audience as they get to see all these beautiful places while getting active. I believe the eye level angle was the best as it gives off the effect that you after following me this then means you are following in my footsteps and I am guiding you on your journey of getting active. Next I used rule of thirds to position my actor to the right of the scene as I wanted to put the text on the side as when I did research into active adverts I saw this a lot I believe it looks really good and it allows me to put the inspirational quote very big to the side so it stands out and my audience will read it which hopefully will inspire them. I picked the right side instead of the left as the sun is positioned on the right so it looks like the sun is shining down on me which conveys the meaning of hope which shows my audience that they should have hope to change as everyone can. Also as the sun is setting it implies that it’s the end of something this could mean it’s the end of my audience being lazy and not getting active . For the text I used sans serif font as it is easy to read so my audience understands the quote and I wanted to show the seriousness of my advert and to show the audience that them not being healthy and not being active is a serious problem which could cause them danger. I also showed danger in my text by the use of colour, that’s why I changed one of the words to red to convey the meaning of danger as this is a connotation of the colour red. The reason why I chose the word “always” is because it’s an adverb and an adverb comes before the verb(action) this implies that the danger because before you start to get active and once you start the danger disappears this should have a fear factor on my audience which hopefully “scares” them into changing. I changed with tint of this advert on photoshop to orange and also colour corrected it to look the best quality. I now know the best way to colour correct the image as well now from previous work such as my cowboy shootout and my college promo advert. For this advert I have stayed with the codes and conventions but also challenged them. For example I stayed with the codes and conventions as I used the NHS logo and better health logo to promote the client on my advert however I went against them as normally the stick to one colour throughout the full advert where as I used many colour as my advert was based outdoors. I believe this is better as more colours means they can convey more meanings which should create a better effect on the audience. Also I think the outdoors is a good idea as it fits the psychographics of explores and will allow them to explore new places which will then leads them to getting active which is my goal.
  • 4. z Final Evaluation. NHS Project. Reflecting on stages. I began my journey of this campaign by first interpreting the brief this stage was very important because this is where I broke down each step of my journey and planned out each stage. Next, I had to research my client in my opinion I think this is one of the most important parts of the campaign as I based my full advert from this research as my main goal is to please my client and achieve their goal for them. I researched into the history of the client this allowed me to have a good understanding of the client and how they ran the business and what worked for them and what didn’t. Also, I researched into previous and current products this is where I got most of my inspiration from and deiced what I was going to do. I believe this research was the most important stage of my project as this is where I learnt the most of how marketing and media worked. So, this helped me a lot on my journey. Not only did I research into the client I also done immense research into my audience as they are the main part of my advert and if they don’t like it then I will fail. For my research I done many things such as focus groups. This helped me to get a more detailed understanding of my audience and their dislikes and likes, what they do, there day to day life. Due to this it allowed me to identify the problem and then base my advert around this problem to help my client achieve more. I also done multiple surveys to find out more information on my audience which once again I can base my advert around. Although this was the most important stage of my journey, the most important skill I learnt was experimentation this is because it allowed me to learn what worked and didn’t work. It taught me how to use different software's and how different ways to film. Not only did it help with my technical work it also helped me with my organization and planning as I experimented then reviewed my results and saw which was the best way to do things. However, I also believe experimentation is pointless without feedback and reviewing it. I have learnt so much from feedback as this allows me to learn what my audience actually likes and what works for them, and this then will help my client. Also, feedback helps me planning wise and how to structure as I can ask people with professional experience which I can then learn from with there feedback, so feedback and experimentation is what has helped me the most in this project. One way I learnt from experimentation is doing other work, for example my cowboy shootout I did. While doing this I tried out many different techniques for shooting shots and editing then. This was the first time using premier pro, so I learnt which transitions worked best, how to add music, how to color correct/ change background color. Also, I learnt how to take shots and capture emotion from the actor and set the scene. Although this wasn’t my best work, I learnt what I did well and areas I could improve in my next project, and I have done this for the NHS project. For example, my cowboy shootout video did not flow as well as I would have liked whereas in my NHS Tv advert, I believe it flows perfectly so by experimenting on other work I have learnt how to improve areas which will benefit me in the future.
  • 5. z Final Evaluation. NHS Project The importance of planning. Without planning my advert and the full process would have been a mess. I found planning a key part of my success with this project as it helped me in many different ways. One way it helped me was organisation, as I was organised it meant I could overcome any problem for example I planned in to film on this particular day however as I've mentioned before I was ill so I was unable however because I was organised it allowed me to plan in another day as I knew my schedule and knew I had enough time to film on this day so this was extremely important. Also it allowed me to schedule in time for editing and actors which meant I felt more in control which allowed me to not rush and make sure everything was perfect before my deadline. Not only did planning allow me to be organised it also allowed me to be efficient with my work. For example I planned out both of my adverts using a story bored this meant when I went to film I knew exactly what shots to take and also at what angle because of this my film process was quick as a result it allowed me more time to edit and also get feedback on them. Planning is what kept this process smooth and allowed me to get the best out of my advert so it was extremely important I did this.
