4. SITE SUPERVISOR
• Engineer Sultan:
He is responsible for monitoring the helpdesk ticket system, adding, removing,
and updating employees in the active directory, mentoring non-IT employees on a
new system, and monitors projects. Engineer Sultan has achieved certifications
related to IT such as PM, CISSP, ITIL, GERM, and others.

5. LESSON LEARNT
 Learned about the network architecture of the DCD
 Learned about the different policies applied in the DCD
 Learned about the difference between cybersecurity and information security
 Learned how to use excel for a more comparison and analyses side
 Learned more about the impact of paperless government and Covid19 on the
organization
 Learned about the cPanel
 Learned about the services that the DCD HQ provides
 How to shutdown a computer using the command prompt window

7. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Completing tasks given by the site supervisor.
 Attending meeting and taking notes.
 Participating in events.
 Engage with the other interns in research, activities, and tasks
 Assist the site supervisor with tasks.
 Help employees with their technical problems

8. ACCOMPLISHMENTS
 Set up a new laptop for employees from scratch, and I have installed and configured windows
10 to a new laptop and downloaded the required tool that employees are allowed to have.
Lastly added the new laptop to the Dubai Civil Defense domain for the admin to control the
laptops.
 I went to the Happiness center, and I observed the differences between the old ticket system
and the new ticket system.
 Attended a meeting with Engineer sultan to observe how a technical system is explained to a
non-technical person
• Improved social skills by communicating with my colleagues and supervisors

10. REFLECTION
• In conclusion, I am thankful for this incredible opportunity that taught
me so many things, and especially Engineer Sultan for igniting my
passion for cybersecurity. I find the way he trusts us with information is
inspiring, and the way he teaches us with passion encourages me to
learn more about the topic and allows me to feel comfortable to ask
questions whether they are good or bad.
