New media change the way buildings operate as interfaces. 1) they become communication canvasses that can easily be changed and adapt to circumstances 2) they start collecting data, through all kinds of sensors and scraping technologies 3) buildings become 'reprogrammable' through online interfaces, the software layar can determine the function of a place.
