2. Client and audience Feedback
Success of the product
(Jordan)
From reviewing the feedback you can see the client
is very pleased with the ident, he said he likes how
nice and simple it is as an ident and the client finds
that the scheduling within the ident looks good and
well produced. Also when looking at the audience's
feedback they seemed to like the idea, for example
they found it very creative and playful. In conclusion
from our feedback i would say our product was a
success.
The process of responding to the brief
(Jordan)
When it came to responding to the brief i would say
we was quite successful because when we initially
consulted the client we made sure that we
negotiated on certain things a good example of
something we negotiated on was the duration of the ident because on the brief it said each
ident is to be 30 seconds long however we educated the client on the basis of idents and
told him that it was too long and he agreed with us. However we did not change everything
for example we had questioned the client regarding the colour scheme asking if we could
change it, the client gave us creative discretion to do as we wanted but in order to keep the
idents looking original with the original colours we kept the colour scheme. In conclusion
because the brief was very thorough of what we had to do, we followed it closely so we left
no room for error and that's how we responded to the brief successfully.
The effectiveness of the group's organisation
(Jordan)
When it came to the organization within the team, i
would say we were heavily successful because as
a team we looked at all our personal skills so we
could really find the appropriate roles for each
other. As a team of 5 we had previously worked on
a music video so we all knew how each other
worked. During the pre production stage as a team
we were quite ahead because we had good and
consistent communication with each other and as a
group we always wanted feedback so we could
improve our work. Just before production we spent
one week getting familiar with stop motion and we
filmed two mock up idents so during that week the
team worked efficiently in order to further the
process of creating the suite of idents. When it
came to production, we were very prepared
because we had all props, equipment and locations at the ready. As a group i would say we
hit every deadline on time and worked efficiently and organised as a team.
3. 6A (Distinction Task)
1) Can they recognise it as a suite of idents?
(Ese)
The results of our survey showed that our idents were
recognisable. The Majority of the target audience said that
they recognised our idents were part of a suite. They
stated that the idents all had a consistent visual style and
included the “CTK channel” logo. They also said that all
the idents used the same colour (Purple) to brand the CTK
channel. People were able to recognise that these are the
colours that are used to represent christ the king.
2) Can they recognise the theme?
(Ese)
The survey results showed that the theme of our idents
was recognisable. In some of the responses we got,
people often said the theme was “things come to life” or “
bringing things to life”. People also said that our theme
linked to “creativity”. The stop-motion visual style helped
to make the theme of our idents recognisable.
4. 3) What do they associate with the brand identity?
(Ugonna)
The suite of idents that we have record all associate with the brand identity of being
creative. This is evident in all the idents that we have made for our client. For example
we have picked the theme coming to life. This consists of idents that take place in
creative spaces like a studio and an art studio.
4) Is it fit for purpose – does it brand the seasons?
(Eunice)
When it comes to fit for purpose, I think that the suite of idents do not brand the
season because we chose not to make them seasonal, as we were able to negotiate
with the client not to make the idents seasonal, but to showcase the different types of
creativity the students in CTK have, such as art, sport, science and music.
5) Does it appeal to them?
(Jordan)
From reviewing the results within the survey i would say that our ident appeals to the
audience because most of the responses on the survey regarding the theme or the identity
regarding came back 100% so this can display that the idents appeal to the student. Also
when looking at the audience's feedback they seemed to like the idea, for example they
found it very creative and playful.which can also make the ident seem appealing.
