2. In our Homes
It is in our homes that we can and must start our plastic
recycling action.

3. In our Homes
We should avoid purchasing products packaged in plastic as well as disposable
utensils made from this material.
In cases where this is not possible, we separate the products with plastic in order to
be recycled.
- Whenever possible, we reduce their volume, compacting and placing them in
properly identified containers so that we can then transport and place them in the
Yellow Ecopoint.

4. In our Homes
We also put together the plastic bottle caps and deliver them to the school or to
specific places that, after being collected, help to raise funds for the project “Mafalda
Smile” or others, in order to purchase equipment for people with reduced mobility.

Our school promotes actions to reduce the plastic usage.

6. In our school…
Since one year ago that it’s not possible to buy water in a plastic
bottle. They were replaced by glass bottles. Whenever we buy a
bottle of water, we must deliver an empty glass bottle and receive a
full one for which we only pay for the liquid.

7. In our school…
We created a small recycling bin in each classroom consisting of two containers where
we collect plastic and paper waste. Once a week we dump them in other larger
containers to be transported to the city's ecospot…

8. In our school…
We also have recycling bins for batteries, light bulbs and small appliances.
Our school belongs to the portuguese Eco-Schools Network.
