 The educational system is compulsory from 6 to 16
 years old and it is organised by cycles:

   Infant Educational
   Primary Education
   Secondary Education
   Baccalaureate
   Middle Grade Vocational Training
   Upper Grade Vocational Training
   University Education

CENTCELLES SCHOOL’S HISTORY
 The school is 31 years old.


 It has suffered difficult periods, with few pupils and
  Department of Education has wanted to close it in
  several occasions.

 The closest area of the school is poor: low
  social, cultural and economic level of some families.
CHANGING THE PRESENT AND THE
FUTURE
 In these last 6 years, the school has changed a lot and
  increased the number of pupils and teachers.

 This new period, the pedagogical and methodological
  line of the school has changed.

 Now, we bet for an innovative education, taking part
  in different projects in order to:
   improve academic results
   educate children in good values and basic habits

CALENDAR
 Teachers start: 1st September

 Children start: 12th September

 Christmas holiday: 23th December to 8th January

 Easter Holidays: 2nd to 9th April

 Children finish: 22nd June

 Teachers finish: 29th June

 5 days off
TIMETABLE
 Generally, the students are in the school 5 hours. In our
  case, 6 hours per day.
 Mornings: from 9.00 to 13.00
     9.00 – 10.00: First lesson
     10.00 – 11.00: Second lesson
     11.00 – 11.30: Break
     11.30 – 12.15: Third lesson
     12.15 – 13.00: Fourth lesson
 Lunch: from 13.00 to 15.00
 Afternoons: from 15.00 to 17.00
   15.00 – 16.00: Fifth lesson
   16.00 – 17.00: Sixth lesson

  • 2. THE LAW • In Spain, the educational system is decentralized. That is, the Generalitat, the Government of Catalonia, also has a say on the matter.  LOE: Spanish Education Law  LEC: Catalan Education Law
  • 3. CATALAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM  The educational system is compulsory from 6 to 16 years old and it is organised by cycles:  Infant Educational  Primary Education  Secondary Education  Baccalaureate  Middle Grade Vocational Training  Upper Grade Vocational Training  University Education
  • 4. CATALAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM Compulsary Secondary Education 12-16 (Compulsory) Primary Education 6-12 (Compulsory) Infant Education 3-6

  • 6. CENTCELLES SCHOOL’S HISTORY  The school is 31 years old.  It has suffered difficult periods, with few pupils and Department of Education has wanted to close it in several occasions.  The closest area of the school is poor: low social, cultural and economic level of some families.
  • 7. CHANGING THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE  In these last 6 years, the school has changed a lot and increased the number of pupils and teachers.  This new period, the pedagogical and methodological line of the school has changed.  Now, we bet for an innovative education, taking part in different projects in order to:  improve academic results  educate children in good values and basic habits

  • 9. GROUPS - COURSES  We have two groups in:  P3  P4  P5  1st level  2nd level  3th level  4th level  5th level  We have one group in:  6th level
  • 10. CLASSROOMS  One classroom per group  Library  English and Music classroom  Small rooms for flexible groups  Computer room  Aula d’acollida
  • 11. TEACHERS, PUPILS AND WORKERS  Number of teachers: 31  Number of pupils: 284  Non-teaching staff: 4  Dinning room instructors: 6
  • 12. CALENDAR  Teachers start: 1st September  Children start: 12th September  Christmas holiday: 23th December to 8th January  Easter Holidays: 2nd to 9th April  Children finish: 22nd June  Teachers finish: 29th June  5 days off
  • 13. TIMETABLE  Generally, the students are in the school 5 hours. In our case, 6 hours per day.  Mornings: from 9.00 to 13.00  9.00 – 10.00: First lesson  10.00 – 11.00: Second lesson  11.00 – 11.30: Break  11.30 – 12.15: Third lesson  12.15 – 13.00: Fourth lesson  Lunch: from 13.00 to 15.00  Afternoons: from 15.00 to 17.00  15.00 – 16.00: Fifth lesson  16.00 – 17.00: Sixth lesson
  • 14.
