You can just imagine
How lonely I’ve become
The day you received
Your brand new Playstation
You played with it
Almost every hour
You left me in a shelf
Alone, cold and far
I miss your eyes
That read, skimmed and scanned
I miss your mind
That knows and understands
I miss your hands, your arms
And the warmth it gave
When you cuddled me close
In a comforting embrace
BookTalkByZarahGagatiga
It is clear to me that you’ve
finally found
A hi-tech friend, digitally
enhanced
I look at you and I wonder
Will you ever read me again from
cover to cover

Feedback from a parent
From Smart Parenting:
This well-illustrated book features a simple
story about a boy who envies the toys and cool
gadgets his classmate brags about, which are
gifts from his classmate’s father. He wonders
what gifts his own father has for him, and
eventually realizes how precious they actually
are — the gifts of time, laughter, and presence.

Not all feedback are positive.
Sa lahat ng oras ay pinapaalalahanan niya ako:
"Huwag magkulang sa pagkalalaki!
Ipaglaban ang iyong sarili
Kapag pinepeste ka ng sanggano sa eskwelahan!"
“The translation is obviously not
child-appropriate and well, gender-
insensitive”.
ReadingisBuildingARelationship
Reading is a personal experience
between the author and the reader.
In between them is the text. In
meaningful engagements with the
text the reader is moved and
reaches out to another to share
this experience of making meaning
or finding one.
Reading becomes a discourse.
Reading becomes a social “event”.
