● Storyteller: Noong unang panahon
may isang sastre na napakapandak
ngunit ubod ng talino. Pandakotyong
ang tawag sa kanya ng mga tao.
Sa loob ng kanyang patahian mayroon
din siyang munting tindahan. Nagtitinda
siya ng hamon. Minsan, nilangaw ang
isang hamong nakasabit. Hinampas
niya ito ng tela.
● Pandakotyong: Aba, pito ang napatay ko
sa isang hampas lamang. Ako pala’ y
ubod ng tapang.
● Chorus: Si Pandakotyong ay ubod ng
tapang! Pito ang napatay sa isang
hampas lang! Isa siyang matalinong
nilalang. Si Pandakotyong ay ubod ng
tapang!
● Storyteller: Nang madaan sa isang
palimbagan, nagpagawa siya ng isang
babala na isinabit sa kanyang dibdib. Ito
ang nakasulat --
● Pandakotyong: Ako ay ubod ng tapang at
ubod ng lakas! Hinahamon ko ang lahat!
● Chorus: Si Pandakotyong ay ubod ng
tapang! Pito ang napatay sa isang hampas
lang! Isa siyang matalinong nilalang. Si
Pandakotyong ay ubod ng tapang!
● Storyteller: Dahil walang pumapansin
kay Pandakotyong inakala niyang takot
sa kanya ang lahat ng tao. Kaya’t ng
mapadaan sa isang higante, sinigawan
niya ito.
● Pandakotyong: Hoy higante, basahin
mo ang babala sa aking dibdib!
● Storyteller: Umugong sa buong bayan
ang malakas nitong halakhak.
● Pandakotyong: Bakit mo ako pinagtatawanan?
● Higante: Ang liit mong yan? Kapag
nasunggaban kita mapipisa kang parang ipis!
● Pandakotyong: Tandaan mo higante, walang
malaking nakapupuwing!
● Chorus: Si Pandakotyong ay ubod ng tapang!
Pito ang napatay sa isang hampas lang! Isa siyang
matalinong nilalang. Si Pandakotyong ay ubod ng
tapang!
● Storyteller: Hindi kaya siya tapakan ng higante?
Kumuha ng isang batong buhay ang higante saka
piniga.
● Higante: Isahod mo ang iyong kamay
● Storyteller: Lumabas mula sa batong buhay ang
malinis na tubig. Hindi nagpatalo si Pandakotyong.
Kinuha ang baong keso saka piniga sa kamay ng
higante. Katas na malagkit ang lumabas mula dito.
● Higante: Magaling ka rin pala!
● Storyteller: Pumulot muli ng bato ang higante saka
inihagis sa langit. Oras ang inabot bago ito
lumagpak. Hindi nagitla si Pandakotyong inihagis
niya ang alagang ibon at hindi na ito bumalik.
● Higante: Karapat-dapat kang ipakilala sa aming
