Laughing Sun Brewing Business Analysis
Bismarck, North Dakota is the capital of the state that was admitted to the Union in 1889. Rich in American history, the city was founded in 1872, in
what was then the Dakota Territory. The name is derived from the Dakota branch of the Sioux tribes that were native to the area. The land itself was
acquired by the United States in part through the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, and in part through the extension of the northern boundary with Canada
through the 49th parallel.
Today's Bismarck, on the east bank of the Missouri River, is one of the fastest–growing small cities in the United States. The metropolitan area
population was 129,517 as of the 2010 census, unemployment is very low and job growth is very high. Bismarck is the hub for retail ... Show more

Laughing Sun Brewing Company was started in 2012, in a partnership that arose from a monthly poker game. Owners Mike Frohlich and Todd
Sattler found the space downtown in the historic Laskin Building and set about building a brewhouse behind glass that is the centerpiece of the
space. Laughing Sun has quickly become a local favorite hangout; maybe it's the live music that makes the place so dynamic, or the tasting room for
all the different craft beers made on site. Though the brewery does not offer food, they are strategically located next door to amazing pizza, so you
can sit a spell longer and try the porter! Gateway to Science
The Gateway to Science in Bismarck is the perfect spot for kids, and grown–ups, to get their hands on some real science. The Gateway to Science is
great family fun for kids of all ages, and hosts birthday parties, summer camps and seminars. Established in 1994 by a small group who recognized the
need for informal science experiences, there is now a funding project underway to build a larger building with more exhibit space. It is already integral
to Bismarck and the surrounding communities, and the families, schools and local government are supporting the vision to move it to a higher level.
Additionally, the center is becoming ingrained in the state's emphasis on science, engineering and math (STEM)

St Patrick Day Research Paper
Ireland, many know this country for its vast never–ending green grass, and from the tales of the never ending rain. Or maybe just from the celebration
that we practice every year called "St.Patricks Day." Well, luckily we are going to take a brief look into this country's culture, the role that dancing
plays in Ireland, and also we will go over three of the most influential dances that Ireland has. So lets get started as I take you to a beautiful country
about 4,000 miles away from sunny Tampa, Florida. Just due north east of Florida across the Atlantic Ocean sits Ireland. It is about 27,135 miles in
area (Gale 2007); to put this in proportion the united states is right around 3.8 million miles in area so as we can see this is a relatively ... Show more

This dance is actually danced to the same music as a jig but is done in different time. It is still a very lively piece of music that it is danced too but
instead of 6/8 time it is done in either 2/2 time or 4/4 time. Reel music is popular all over the world. It came to the United States and Canada threw
immigrants from the British Isles. In reels you will find two downbeats, these are the most important part of the dance and signal the dancer on
what to do. It is crucial to understand the beat of the reel before ever attempting to dance it. Traditionally the reel was danced in soft shoes, but it
can also be done in hard shoes as well. The most important thing to remember about the Irish reel is the dance figure. In this dance the dancers will
start at one point and end at another. This dance usually creating the shape of a circle. The reel also shows origin from folk dancing. The difference
being the reel is more of a country folk dance. The reel was more popular in Scotland than Ireland. This was until the 17th century when it
disappeared while under the ruling of the Presbyterian churches. But luckily the reel reappeared in the Scottish lowlands after the 1700s; and from
here stayed a part of the culture. Today the reel a lot like the jig is done mostly in stage acts, and also for celebratory purposes like weddings, and

Summary Of Saints By Nancy Scheper-Hughes
The typical Irish personality as seen through the ethnography of Nancy Scheper–Hughes is similar among the Irish population. The reason we see
these similar traits among the Irish population is because of the hardships that the people go through as they are raised from children to adults. Ireland
is known for their high rates of diagnosed mental illness. Through the author's fieldwork we are able to learn about the personality traits found among
the Irish. Nancy Scheper–Hughes states that, "the Republic of Ireland has the highest hospitalization treatment rate for mental illness in the world"
(Scheper–Hughes 60). The book titled, Saints, Scholars, and Schizophrenics Mental Illness in Rural Ireland, talks about the mental illness Schizophrenia
and mentions reasons why the Irish population has been diagnosed with so many cases. Scheper–Hughes observes, "Schizophrenia is the core problem
– more than half of the patients are so diagnosed" (Scheper–Hughes 60). The reason behind these diagnosed mental illnesses has a lot to do with the
way the Irish are raised. Most of the Irish population is raised in a similar way, which does not allow them to make decisions for themselves. There are
certain social and cultural values that Irish parents place upon their children, which may be the reason why there are so many cases of mental illness
seen throughout Ireland. One reason that may affect these children is the pressure put on them by parents. In Irish culture at least one

Comparison Of Darby O Gill And The Little People
One of Disney's finest films is the classic, Darby O' Gill and the Little People. This quintessential Saint Patrick's Day movie is filled with adventure,
romance, and unique characters that warm your heart and encourages you to believe in magic. The story has several characters that possess leadership
qualities, but the main focus is on two adversaries––Darby O' Gil and King Brian (head of the leprechauns.) They may appear as different as can be
from each other but they are similar in a plethora of ways. They are evenly matched in wits and humor. The only differences between King Brian and
Darby are in appearance–one is several inches tall and wears a crown and the other is several feet tall and wears a beguiling smile. They prove that
leaders can come in all different shapes, sizes, and personalities.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

her son and as well as trying to get others to see her point of view. She wants her son to have Darby's job so she does what she can to get it for him

Personal Reflection Paper On Travel
Travel has always been apart of my life, and it has always brought me so much joy. This trip only doubled my love for travel. This time I was going
out of my comfort zone and going without my normal bubble (my family). For 9 days I would be experiencing all Ireland and the many airports had
to offer. I met new people including a man from tender scout, a very interesting tattoo artist, our tour guide, the crabby bus driver and the many
interesting groups accompanying us on the trip. But most of all I got closed to people I wish I was closer to these past two years at USF. This paper
will cover the cultural reflection that I took home with me, all my experiences to the cathedrals, monasteries, the island. My international business...

My nana is very catholic and very Irish so thing was something I had to see with or without my group. I was amazed by the story involved within the
cathedral from it changing from different name titles throughout the years. I loved the design inside from the stair cases to the windows. This cathedral
helped shape how Ireland is today because it converts over 1500 years ago and has been a huge place for the Celtic ways of worship. It is the
National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, and has played a huge role in many people lives (StPatricksCathedral, 2017). Later that day five of us
left the group and went to get our rental car. Madi, Paige, Trey, Kaylin, Lonnie (you) got the exciting experience to go see theBlarney Castle and
Gardens. What I expected from this place was just a castle with a stone that you kiss to get eloquence, but what I experienced was much more. This
place was breathtaking, and I was able to experience it with a great group of people! This place had a lot of history and helped shape the culture of
Ireland. The Blarney stone is very special because over 200 years people have climbed the castle to the top to kiss the stone and gain the gift of
eloquence. This place had many other things like the The Rock Close and Water Garden, The Poison Garden, Arboretums, The Fern Garden, The
Arboretums, and The Woodland and Riverside Walks. I wish everyone would have joined us on this adventure because it was definitely one of my
favorite days. I

The Lost Tribes of Israel Claims by Herbert Armstrong
The Lost Tribes of Israel
Catholic.com
Around 926 b.c., the kingdom of Israel split in two. Up to that point, all twelve tribes of Israel (plus the priestly tribe of Levi) had been united under
the monarchies of Saul, David, and Solomon. But when Solomon's son Rehoboam ascended to the throne, the ten Northern tribes rebelled and seceded
from the union. This left only two tribes–Judah and Benjamin (plus much of Levi)–under the control of the king in Jerusalem. From that time on, the
tribes were divided into two nations, which came to be called the House of Israel (the Northern ten tribes) and the House of Judah (the Southern two
tribes).
This situation continued until around 723 B.C., when the Assyrians conquered the Northern ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And what is that name? None other than Israel.
"Hold it!" you say. The people who came from Israel are Jews. Britons and Americans, for the most part, aren't Jewish. How can one claim otherwise?
Easily. Armstrong assures us that, "The house of Israel is not Jewish! Those who constitute it are not Jews, and never were! That fact we shall now see
conclusively, beyond refute."
Actually, there is something of a point here. The term "Jew" originated as a way of referring to the people of the southern kingdom of Judah, whether
their own tribe was Judah, Benjamin, or Levi. The term appears late in Israel's history–after the division into northern and southern kingdoms–and it
can be fairly claimed that the term does not apply to the members of the ten northern tribes, who are properly known as "Israelites" since they
belonged to the House of Israel rather than the House of Judah.
Armstrong asserted: "Certainly this proves that the Jews are a different nation altogether from the House of Israel," claims Armstrong. "The Jews of
today are Judah! They call their nation 'Israel' today because they, too, descend from the patriarch Israel or Jacob. But remember that the 'House of
Israel'–the ten tribes that separated from Judah–does not mean Jew! Whoever the lost ten tribes of Israel are today, they are not Jews!"
"By the year 721 B.C., the House of Israel was conquered and its people were soon driven out of their own land–out of their homes and cities–and

The Implications Of Death Throughout Fight Club Essay

The Implications of Death throughout Fight Club Chuck Palahniuk's debut novel, Fight Club, has caused a lot of controversy over the past two
decades, receiving both stringent literary criticism and high acclaim in academic circles, while the movie has garnered a cult–like following.
Nevertheless, the novel is largely considered to be a success, utilizing a range of literary devices and raising questions about our culture and society.
Palahniuk writes about death as one of the most notable themes in the novel, exploring the meaning of death, the link between life, death and sex, and
the fluidity of mortality. To each of the three main characters, death represents something different. Marla Singer is consumed with the thought that
she could conceivably die at any given moment, though "the tragedy of her life is that she doesn't" (Palahniuk 99). Marla uses death and her alleged
suicidal ideation as a way to feel closer to people and get attention, such as when she attends funerals and the various cancer support groups to help
overcome her feelings of isolation, and how she phones the narrator in a cry–for–help after overdosing on pills. While the narrator and Marla singer go
to support group meetings for similar reasons, he doesn't seem to share her idea of mortality. He appears to think of death as the final mark of an
unfulfilled and altogether unremarkable existence, saying to his boss, "I just don't want to die without a

To journey the world requires a traveler to possess qualities that pertain to the culture and people in which they are attempting to assimilate with, but
the traveler must do their best to lose all the traits and habits that their home has burdened them with and jump into a new culture with the eagerness to

One individual had an entire tray of food spilled on him, and the waitress ran off crying. What should a restaurant do after a situation like this? One
would think that the waitress would at a minimum offer an apology and perhaps offer the gentleman the meal for free, but neither was offered.
The Service Theater Framework
The Blarney Stone Restaurant needs an improvement in the service it provides, and should follow the Service Theater Framework as discussed below
and analyzed. This type of framework is very similar to that of a stage production in theater including: actors, audience, setting, front–stage, back–stage,
and a performance (Fisk et al., 2014, p. 26). The actors are the waitresses and waiters who are employed by the business to provide exceptional
service, despite any feelings that they may feel towards a customer (the audience).
Setting
The setting is the physical service environment for a business and is where the service is performed. This includes the bar, lighting, actors
(employees), seating placement, and overall appearance of the restaurant. If the restaurant is not up to par with the needs of the customers, then
people are unwilling to go there. The Blarney Stone Restaurant is outdated and needs updated to grow as a business. It has kegs of beer set on top of
tables that could be used for customers. The television sets are not up to the standard high–definition sets that are available now. Another setting

Today's age of computer automation sparked a generation pampered with gadgets that enabled the user to complete labor intensive and
complicated tasks with a touch of a button or a simple act of pulling a lever. Now, with this type of jobs commonplace all over the world, a feeling
or sense of emasculation of these individuals as a result of being restricted to such menial tasks affectionately labeled as "space monkeys," rebellion
among this repressed group may arguably occur in order to display external power. The narrator synonymously identified emasculation in the early
chapters in the most literal sense of a man's loss, a symbolic loss to man's virility as to woman's fertility. In chapter two, the narrator felt emotional
and routinely cried weekly for and with his friend Bob; a largely built man whose own "huevos" were removed due to testicular cancer (21). The
narrator hugged and cried with Bob, a visually striking man with "bitch tits" now adorning the former body builder's physique. Such displays of
affection between men are not commonly seen in public, and therefore the author projected both as fragile, emasculated men submitting to the power of
a debilitating disease such as cancer. Emasculation has become

Men Working On The Bridge
Many of the men working on the bridge knew each from previous jobs around the city or drinking at the Old Vic, the Blarney and the Commercial.
Some played in the same soccer or football league or stood next to each other at a Bulldogs games or at the cricket; there were blokes who knew each
other from school, from the neighbourhood.
Antonello hooked up almost immediately with Sam and Slav, he knew both of them from soccer and Sam from a couple of previous jobs. They took
to having all their breaks together. At lunchtime, they sat at the same table in the lunchroom, at morning tea they took their cuppa out to the same spot
on the river and after work they settled on the same corner of the bar at the Vic. They were the first real friends he'd made inAustralia. In school he had
been the wog boy with broken English, and while he was usually included when the boys played football or soccer, he didn't get to know any of the
other kids well. After he left school, working on the building sites with Bob, he tended to keep to himself. Mostly he hung out with his brothers Joe
and Vince, and on the weekends, with some of his cousins who lived across the city in Richmond and Collingwood but he'd often felt lonely longing
for friends his own age and missing his childhood friends, the boys and girls he grew up with in Vizzini. Some of them stayed in the village, a couple

Hill fort building was also a main a characteristic of the Iron Age. In early celtic Ireland, the land was divided into clans. Each clan was independent
under an elected king. Sometimes clans would join together and the king who ruled over both clans received respect and honor rather than
sovereignty. In the tenth century there was finally a king of all Ireland. The land was then divided into five different clans known as the Five Fifths
which appeared in the proximity of the Christian era. The five clans were Ulster, Meath, Leinster, Munster, and Connaught. It was not until the
eleventh century that Munster took supreme kingship over all of Ireland. The higher class lived around the kind and lived under clearly defined
laws. Other society classes took care of the cattle and fields of those from a higher class. Early Celtic Ireland was full of rearing cattle and growing
crops. For other food, fishing, hunting, fowling, and trapping was necessary. The transportation of goods was done by the means of packhorses for
land, and curraghs for water. A currah is a wicker–framed boat that is covered with animal hides. However, a dug out was the normal watercraft.
Dwellings were built using the post–and–wattle technique. Due to excavations, there has been proof found that some of these lodgings may have
appeared as early as the Bronze Age until medieval times. Fast forwarding to the mid 1800's, a devastating catastrophe hit Ireland: a disease called

The Ethics Of The State Of Utah
In the state of Utah, statistically one in three women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime, and one in eight will be raped. (Morgan, E. 2014).
Campuses nationwide, and specifically the state of Utah, are feeling the weight of this issue impact the campus environment. In the past, the honor
code system at Brigham Young Universityinterfered with the legal process, "revictimized" victims of rape and sexual assault, and most importantly,
sent a message to the student body that they should not report sexual assault (Brown, 2016, p. 8). With the creation of an amnesty clause, BYU is
setting a standard for universities nationwide and an example of how students can advocate change for school policies. BYU's amnesty clause shows
the students that their safety is important, that they will do what it takes to keep a campus safe, and that sexual violence will not be tolerated.
The Amnesty Clause to the Honor Code shows students that their safety while attending school is of great importance to the administration. This
clause was introduced this past October, after five months of discussion by the Advisory Council on Campus Response to Sexual Assault as to how
they should adapt the Honor Code for victims of sexual violence. They pushed for 23 recommendations, which were all passed, with five
recommendations that were implemented immediately. (Walch, 2016).

The Blarney Stone, according to legend, grants one with elegance and persuasiveness when he or she kisses it. The Blarney Castle is the structure

they replaced that structure with a stone one two centuries later in 1210. Cormac McCarthy, the King of Munster, supplied 4,000 men to increase
Robert the Bruce's forces for the battle of Bannockburn in 1314. The legend says that Robert the Bruce, King of Scots, was so grateful for
McCarthy's help that he gave him half of the Stone of Scone, now know as the Blarney Stone. Queen Elizabeth soon found out about the castle and
commanded the Earl of Leicester to take possession of it, but whenever he attempted to consult McCarthy about the matter, Cormac always suggested a

Nonvalue–added activities do not add value to the goods or services. 1–4. Differential costs are important for managerial decision making, but other
cost data can provide management with additional important information. For example, inventory values and costs of goods sold are important for
income tax and financial reporting purposes as well as for most bonus and cost–plus contracting purposes. Costs for performance evaluation are not

have Holly," says Graves firmly, and it is as clear a dismissal as he can manage it. Jane falls back, and Graves makes his way to where Holly will be...

She makes a point of sipping from the cup as she drives haphazardly back to Graves' house and making indecent noises of pleasure as she does so.
Graves sits in the passenger seat and attempts to appear less maudlin than he truly is. Perhaps Holly notices, as she decides to broach one of the
many topics that would make Graves feel worse. "Chemotherapy," she says abruptly. "No, chemoembolization. Or a liver transplant," she motions
with her elbow towards the glovebox, which Graves opens, to find actual fucking pamphlets, much to his bemusement. "But apparently the
waiting list is quite long, so I figured I could just donate my liver to you." She catches the amusement in Graves' gaze and frowns. "They're like
kidneys yeah? I can live without a liver." Graves laughs outright at that. "It's a malignant tumour, Holly, it's in my lungs too; and I don't think that's
how it works." "Blow me. Failing that, I'll just carve out the affected parts of your insides yeah?" Holly's eyes are on the road and her tone is the same
as always, yet her knuckles are white as she grips the wheel. "Fuck medical procedure and ethics, I did two days of a First Aid course in ninth grade.

One-Saint-LГ©ger: A Short Story
Moving into the house at One–Saint–LГ©ger was quick and simple; all they had to move in was their clothes and a few toiletries. Thomas promised
to have servants there within a few days– "Until then, we'll eat at your grandparent's house or one of the nearby restaurants," he told Allie. The longer
the war continued, Thomas knew that it was only going to get worse, and luxuries such as eating at fine restaurants was going to end. He also knew
that his ship was a sitting duck as long as it remained in the harbor– he had debated moving it further inland, either up the Ashley or Cooper River's, but
sailing upriver was not an easy task. Several planters had already come to him, wanting him to haul cargo abroad for them– many were still trying to
salvage their fortunes to keep the war from consuming everything they had. During the last few months, when the Southern states began talking
segregation, rice, indigo, and tobacco had topped cotton as his main cargo on exports. One of the first things Thomas seen to, besides hiring a reliable
housekeeper and her son to take care of the house, was stocking the larder with enough food to see them through several months. As much as he
disliked the thought of doing it, if it got extremely... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her husband had died shortly after their arrival in Charleston fifteen years earlier and Mary had gone to work at the bathhouse along the Battery as a
way to support her and her son who was three or four at the time. Mary did his laundry as well as the laundry for the men on his ship– many ships to
be exact. In order to hire her, he'd had to pay her what she would have made working at the bathhouse and doing laundry, and hire her son Willie to do
the manly work. He also gave them the servant's quarters to live in; that saved Mary having to pay rent with her wages. It was a small price to pay for
his peace of mind. Mary was bawdy, but a hard worker– she also turned out to be a decent

Laughing Sun Brewing Business Analysis

  • 1. Laughing Sun Brewing Business Analysis Bismarck, North Dakota is the capital of the state that was admitted to the Union in 1889. Rich in American history, the city was founded in 1872, in what was then the Dakota Territory. The name is derived from the Dakota branch of the Sioux tribes that were native to the area. The land itself was acquired by the United States in part through the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, and in part through the extension of the northern boundary with Canada through the 49th parallel. Today's Bismarck, on the east bank of the Missouri River, is one of the fastest–growing small cities in the United States. The metropolitan area population was 129,517 as of the 2010 census, unemployment is very low and job growth is very high. Bismarck is the hub for retail ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Laughing Sun Brewing Company was started in 2012, in a partnership that arose from a monthly poker game. Owners Mike Frohlich and Todd Sattler found the space downtown in the historic Laskin Building and set about building a brewhouse behind glass that is the centerpiece of the space. Laughing Sun has quickly become a local favorite hangout; maybe it's the live music that makes the place so dynamic, or the tasting room for all the different craft beers made on site. Though the brewery does not offer food, they are strategically located next door to amazing pizza, so you can sit a spell longer and try the porter! Gateway to Science The Gateway to Science in Bismarck is the perfect spot for kids, and grown–ups, to get their hands on some real science. The Gateway to Science is great family fun for kids of all ages, and hosts birthday parties, summer camps and seminars. Established in 1994 by a small group who recognized the need for informal science experiences, there is now a funding project underway to build a larger building with more exhibit space. It is already integral to Bismarck and the surrounding communities, and the families, schools and local government are supporting the vision to move it to a higher level. Additionally, the center is becoming ingrained in the state's emphasis on science, engineering and math (STEM) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. St Patrick Day Research Paper Ireland, many know this country for its vast never–ending green grass, and from the tales of the never ending rain. Or maybe just from the celebration that we practice every year called "St.Patricks Day." Well, luckily we are going to take a brief look into this country's culture, the role that dancing plays in Ireland, and also we will go over three of the most influential dances that Ireland has. So lets get started as I take you to a beautiful country about 4,000 miles away from sunny Tampa, Florida. Just due north east of Florida across the Atlantic Ocean sits Ireland. It is about 27,135 miles in area (Gale 2007); to put this in proportion the united states is right around 3.8 million miles in area so as we can see this is a relatively ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This dance is actually danced to the same music as a jig but is done in different time. It is still a very lively piece of music that it is danced too but instead of 6/8 time it is done in either 2/2 time or 4/4 time. Reel music is popular all over the world. It came to the United States and Canada threw immigrants from the British Isles. In reels you will find two downbeats, these are the most important part of the dance and signal the dancer on what to do. It is crucial to understand the beat of the reel before ever attempting to dance it. Traditionally the reel was danced in soft shoes, but it can also be done in hard shoes as well. The most important thing to remember about the Irish reel is the dance figure. In this dance the dancers will start at one point and end at another. This dance usually creating the shape of a circle. The reel also shows origin from folk dancing. The difference being the reel is more of a country folk dance. The reel was more popular in Scotland than Ireland. This was until the 17th century when it disappeared while under the ruling of the Presbyterian churches. But luckily the reel reappeared in the Scottish lowlands after the 1700s; and from here stayed a part of the culture. Today the reel a lot like the jig is done mostly in stage acts, and also for celebratory purposes like weddings, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Summary Of Saints By Nancy Scheper-Hughes The typical Irish personality as seen through the ethnography of Nancy Scheper–Hughes is similar among the Irish population. The reason we see these similar traits among the Irish population is because of the hardships that the people go through as they are raised from children to adults. Ireland is known for their high rates of diagnosed mental illness. Through the author's fieldwork we are able to learn about the personality traits found among the Irish. Nancy Scheper–Hughes states that, "the Republic of Ireland has the highest hospitalization treatment rate for mental illness in the world" (Scheper–Hughes 60). The book titled, Saints, Scholars, and Schizophrenics Mental Illness in Rural Ireland, talks about the mental illness Schizophrenia and mentions reasons why the Irish population has been diagnosed with so many cases. Scheper–Hughes observes, "Schizophrenia is the core problem – more than half of the patients are so diagnosed" (Scheper–Hughes 60). The reason behind these diagnosed mental illnesses has a lot to do with the way the Irish are raised. Most of the Irish population is raised in a similar way, which does not allow them to make decisions for themselves. There are certain social and cultural values that Irish parents place upon their children, which may be the reason why there are so many cases of mental illness seen throughout Ireland. One reason that may affect these children is the pressure put on them by parents. In Irish culture at least one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Comparison Of Darby O Gill And The Little People One of Disney's finest films is the classic, Darby O' Gill and the Little People. This quintessential Saint Patrick's Day movie is filled with adventure, romance, and unique characters that warm your heart and encourages you to believe in magic. The story has several characters that possess leadership qualities, but the main focus is on two adversaries––Darby O' Gil and King Brian (head of the leprechauns.) They may appear as different as can be from each other but they are similar in a plethora of ways. They are evenly matched in wits and humor. The only differences between King Brian and Darby are in appearance–one is several inches tall and wears a crown and the other is several feet tall and wears a beguiling smile. They prove that leaders can come in all different shapes, sizes, and personalities.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pony Sugrue and his mother, Sheelah are prime examples of the follower/ leader dynamic. Pony is a passive follower who follows his mother's lead. Sheelah Sugrue is an elderly busy body, but she knows exactly what she wants and takes the initiative to get it. She does this by manipulating her son and as well as trying to get others to see her point of view. She wants her son to have Darby's job so she does what she can to get it for him (which she fails miserably.) She still shows leadership qualities, even with her deficiency. Other followers in thisfilm include King Brian's fellow leprechauns as well as Darby's friends at the pub who listen intently to Darby's tall tales. • 5. Personal Reflection Paper On Travel Travel has always been apart of my life, and it has always brought me so much joy. This trip only doubled my love for travel. This time I was going out of my comfort zone and going without my normal bubble (my family). For 9 days I would be experiencing all Ireland and the many airports had to offer. I met new people including a man from tender scout, a very interesting tattoo artist, our tour guide, the crabby bus driver and the many interesting groups accompanying us on the trip. But most of all I got closed to people I wish I was closer to these past two years at USF. This paper will cover the cultural reflection that I took home with me, all my experiences to the cathedrals, monasteries, the island. My international business... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... My nana is very catholic and very Irish so thing was something I had to see with or without my group. I was amazed by the story involved within the cathedral from it changing from different name titles throughout the years. I loved the design inside from the stair cases to the windows. This cathedral helped shape how Ireland is today because it converts over 1500 years ago and has been a huge place for the Celtic ways of worship. It is the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, and has played a huge role in many people lives (StPatricksCathedral, 2017). Later that day five of us left the group and went to get our rental car. Madi, Paige, Trey, Kaylin, Lonnie (you) got the exciting experience to go see theBlarney Castle and Gardens. What I expected from this place was just a castle with a stone that you kiss to get eloquence, but what I experienced was much more. This place was breathtaking, and I was able to experience it with a great group of people! This place had a lot of history and helped shape the culture of Ireland. The Blarney stone is very special because over 200 years people have climbed the castle to the top to kiss the stone and gain the gift of eloquence. This place had many other things like the The Rock Close and Water Garden, The Poison Garden, Arboretums, The Fern Garden, The Arboretums, and The Woodland and Riverside Walks. • 6. The Lost Tribes of Israel Claims by Herbert Armstrong The Lost Tribes of Israel Catholic.com Around 926 b.c., the kingdom of Israel split in two. Up to that point, all twelve tribes of Israel (plus the priestly tribe of Levi) had been united under the monarchies of Saul, David, and Solomon. But when Solomon's son Rehoboam ascended to the throne, the ten Northern tribes rebelled and seceded from the union. This left only two tribes–Judah and Benjamin (plus much of Levi)–under the control of the king in Jerusalem. From that time on, the tribes were divided into two nations, which came to be called the House of Israel (the Northern ten tribes) and the House of Judah (the Southern two tribes). That fact we shall now see conclusively, beyond refute." Actually, there is something of a point here. The term "Jew" originated as a way of referring to the people of the southern kingdom of Judah, whether their own tribe was Judah, Benjamin, or Levi. The term appears late in Israel's history–after the division into northern and southern kingdoms–and it can be fairly claimed that the term does not apply to the members of the ten northern tribes, who are properly known as "Israelites" since they belonged to the House of Israel rather than the House of Judah. Armstrong asserted: "Certainly this proves that the Jews are a different nation altogether from the House of Israel," claims Armstrong. "The Jews of today are Judah! They call their nation 'Israel' today because they, too, descend from the patriarch Israel or Jacob. But remember that the 'House of Israel'–the ten tribes that separated from Judah–does not mean Jew! Whoever the lost ten tribes of Israel are today, they are not Jews!" "By the year 721 B.C., the House of Israel was conquered and its people were soon driven out of their own land–out of their homes and cities–and

  • 8. The Implications Of Death Throughout Fight Club Essay Rida Ali Professor Rupp English 1154 2 October 2016 The Implications of Death throughout Fight Club Chuck Palahniuk's debut novel, Fight Club, has caused a lot of controversy over the past two decades, receiving both stringent literary criticism and high acclaim in academic circles, while the movie has garnered a cult–like following. Nevertheless, the novel is largely considered to be a success, utilizing a range of literary devices and raising questions about our culture and society. Palahniuk writes about death as one of the most notable themes in the novel, exploring the meaning of death, the link between life, death and sex, and the fluidity of mortality. To each of the three main characters, death represents something different. Marla Singer is consumed with the thought that she could conceivably die at any given moment, though "the tragedy of her life is that she doesn't" (Palahniuk 99). Marla uses death and her alleged suicidal ideation as a way to feel closer to people and get attention, such as when she attends funerals and the various cancer support groups to help overcome her feelings of isolation, and how she phones the narrator in a cry–for–help after overdosing on pills. While the narrator and Marla singer go to support group meetings for similar reasons, he doesn't seem to share her idea of mortality. He appears to think of death as the final mark of an unfulfilled and altogether unremarkable existence, saying to his boss, "I just don't want to die without a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Over the past summer, I journeyed with a group of my fellow high school friends to the coasts of Ireland in which for one week, we travelled and assimilated with the many different cultures that one can find within the plains of this great country. When we returned to the States, I sparked the idea of making a shirt that portrays a picture of our group with Cillian and under a quote in typical Irish letters "Live Like Cillian." I will hold onto the shirt for the rest of my life as a constant reminder that my goal in life should not be riches but rather to create enduring bonds with those dear to me and enjoy every minute that I spend with them. One would think that the waitress would at a minimum offer an apology and perhaps offer the gentleman the meal for free, but neither was offered. The Service Theater Framework The Blarney Stone Restaurant needs an improvement in the service it provides, and should follow the Service Theater Framework as discussed below and analyzed. This type of framework is very similar to that of a stage production in theater including: actors, audience, setting, front–stage, back–stage, and a performance (Fisk et al., 2014, p. 26). The actors are the waitresses and waiters who are employed by the business to provide exceptional service, despite any feelings that they may feel towards a customer (the audience). Setting The setting is the physical service environment for a business and is where the service is performed. This includes the bar, lighting, actors (employees), seating placement, and overall appearance of the restaurant. If the restaurant is not up to par with the needs of the customers, then people are unwilling to go there. The Blarney Stone Restaurant is outdated and needs updated to grow as a business. Now, with this type of jobs commonplace all over the world, a feeling or sense of emasculation of these individuals as a result of being restricted to such menial tasks affectionately labeled as "space monkeys," rebellion among this repressed group may arguably occur in order to display external power. The narrator synonymously identified emasculation in the early chapters in the most literal sense of a man's loss, a symbolic loss to man's virility as to woman's fertility. In chapter two, the narrator felt emotional and routinely cried weekly for and with his friend Bob; a largely built man whose own "huevos" were removed due to testicular cancer (21). The narrator hugged and cried with Bob, a visually striking man with "bitch tits" now adorning the former body builder's physique. Such displays of affection between men are not commonly seen in public, and therefore the author projected both as fragile, emasculated men submitting to the power of a debilitating disease such as cancer. Hill fort building was also a main a characteristic of the Iron Age. In early celtic Ireland, the land was divided into clans. Each clan was independent under an elected king. Sometimes clans would join together and the king who ruled over both clans received respect and honor rather than sovereignty. In the tenth century there was finally a king of all Ireland. The land was then divided into five different clans known as the Five Fifths which appeared in the proximity of the Christian era. The five clans were Ulster, Meath, Leinster, Munster, and Connaught. It was not until the eleventh century that Munster took supreme kingship over all of Ireland. The higher class lived around the kind and lived under clearly defined laws. Other society classes took care of the cattle and fields of those from a higher class. Early Celtic Ireland was full of rearing cattle and growing crops. In the past, the honor code system at Brigham Young Universityinterfered with the legal process, "revictimized" victims of rape and sexual assault, and most importantly, sent a message to the student body that they should not report sexual assault (Brown, 2016, p. 8). The castle's original wooden structure was built by the McCarthy's of Muskerry around 1010 and they replaced that structure with a stone one two centuries later in 1210. Cormac McCarthy, the King of Munster, supplied 4,000 men to increase Robert the Bruce's forces for the battle of Bannockburn in 1314. The legend says that Robert the Bruce, King of Scots, was so grateful for McCarthy's help that he gave him half of the Stone of Scone, now know as the Blarney Stone. Queen Elizabeth soon found out about the castle and commanded the Earl of Leicester to take possession of it, but whenever he attempted to consult McCarthy about the matter, Cormac always suggested a banquet or some other form of delay, This meant that when the Earl was to send the queen progress reports, a long memorandum was sent stating that the castle had still remained untaken.
