With the first round of CFI closing today you have around 10 months
to prepare for next round of CFI funding
There will be increased competition for less funding: $700M in Round
1 compared to $500M in Round 2

◊ Connect with your Clean Cities Coalition and
utility early and often
◊ Identify opportunities to leverage low/no cost
community engagement (e.g., ride and drives,
listening sessions)
◊ Perform a local stakeholder survey for past and
ongoing projects, best practices, and lessons
learned
◊ Include as many value add partners that you can
effectively manage
◊ Frame high-level contracting prior to CFI grant
release
