2. For my project, I decided to focus on my
weaker skills; audio, visual, and bodily
kinesthetic. My goal was to learn a new song
on the ukulele without any chords, strumming
patterns, or lyrics in front of me. To do this, I
used a YouTube video tutorial.
3. I did the song Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye because it’s the
first thing that popped into my head, I think because I heard it on the
radio earlier that day I wasn’t even thinking about it at the time. I
learned the chords and the riff but I’ve never done a riff before and IT
SUCKED I DON’T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHY HERE IS MY FAILURE FOR
ALL OF YOU TO SEE..
4. So I gave up on that and decided to do this song because for
some reason it was in the sidebar view to the other video
and I could not learn that other one in time for the life of me
5. So, yeah, not to mention this was only the audio
version so I learned the chords on my own accord
(haha) and I think that deserves some bonus points
there. Plus, I lost a pick because I got frustrated and
threw it across the room and I really liked that pick and
I know you don’t need a pick for ukulele it’s just that riff
was difficult and hurt my hands
6. So through all of this I did improve my audio skills, a lot, my bodily
kinesthetic skills, my patience skills (besides the pick), my ukulele
skills, sort of, and my procrastination skills!
