2. BFI and knowledge.
In terms of our knowledge and understanding of real media
texts, we could also rely on our knowledge gathered from
the guest speakers on our trip to the BFI who had overseen
the making of thrillers such as 17 and Da Vinci's Demons. The
knowledge we were able to acquire from two editors and
directors was substantial for us to see exactly what our
opening title sequence needed. I will put the PowerPoint
they presented us with below.
3. From our knowledge of actual Thriller
film log lines which we researched and
found on IMBD we then attempted to
plan our own log line for our film,
summarising the key context and
storyline for the film in 1-3 lines. We
came up with some fantastic plot lines
using our knowledge from great
programmes and films including
Shutter Taken, Inception and many
more. I found developing log lines
useful, shown by our opening
sequence following many thriller
conventions.
4. Order of Credits.
Placing the credits of the opening title
sequence in the correct order is
conventional as real media texts follow a
specific formation.
We attempted his in our opening title
sequence putting them in the right order
and having the right amount. last year we
created a log post on the order of credits i
used this in my pre- production work to
create an order and the names of the
people who were in it next to their title.

STARRING

depending on the star's deal with the studio; sometimes, as in the Rodgers and
Hammerstein films, or as in all three film versions of Show Boat, or, as in many of
Disney's films, the title of the film will be shown before the names of its actors).

5. Character Introduction
The two main characters in our opening title
sequence are introduced at the beginning of
the video. They were introduced though
shots of close ups not showing they're true
identify/face. I used encoded signifiers to
foreshadow who the characters are as well
as their profile/personality. One example is
the use of sound and editing I have used
being described in the music what may have
happen and what he may do/what's going to
come, also the over layer of the girl Rebecca
face may show that she’s next.
