Concept –The lyrics don’t match the video, the song appears to be about a one-
night stand, and however the video has no connection to it. During our video the
lyrics will match up to the music video. This will show our own interpretation off
the original lyrics. This video will be to show all males aren’t the cheaters and
females can be very manipulative. This will show a difference in what a lot of
people think stereotypically.
Performance and Narrative –During the music video it switches between live
performance and trying to do a live performance. The narrative of the video is
that a guy and a girl are at a party and they start talking and flirting and they
both decides to move so its quieter and they end up in a bedroom, the following
morning the male wake up and finds the girl to be gone. The male decides to
walk into town and see the girl from last night with her boyfriend and the male
walks past the girl and she turns to look at him. The male and female pass each
other a few more times in different areas. On the second time of seeing each
other they will confront and have a small argument the male walks off and sits
down to think. During this there I cross cuts to the band playing live.
Camera and Editing –When creating our music video we will use a variety of
different camera shots such as extreme close-ups to show star image. We have
arc shot, close ups , high angled shot, long shots, wide shots, establishing shots.
We will use this to show emotion and also effect.
Lighting – during the live performance there will be bright lights then when it
switches to them being in a garage the lighting dims. This will help show mood
and also the emotions in the music video.
Dance/Live Performance –We will use live performances whilst creating our
video, it will go from a proper live performance on stage then to them trying to
perform in a garage. I think that it will show a good use of our skills and also
editing techniques.
