 I want to include room for hardware in the product.
 Do we value function more than design?
DO - observations
 Preference for an all-in product
 Becomes more excited when talking about various functions for the product
 Seems not too mind that the product might become too big
 Not a lot of research done yet
 Seems to be an important role for electrical and additional parts
THINK
 The product should have several functions
 It seems to be for both the business and private market
 The size of the product seems not that important
 A nice design would be great but is open
 Not all requirements are clear yet
 There does not seem to be a specific target group yet
THINK 2
 The product should have room for storage of wires and additional small
hardware products based on the all-in product idea
 The portability element seems to be under highlighted at the moment
 There seems to be no clear thoughts on the production yet
 Some elements of a business plan seem to be missing, such as a competitor
ananlysis
 A small prototype of a rough product idea would be ideal
FEEL
 The idea feels good, there seems to be a demand for clever store away
products
 Probably a lot depends on the function and design of the product
 I feel that the product should be small in connexion with travel
 If needed some elements of the storage could be sacrificed for the element
of travel
 There can be more focus on the functions of the tool, e.g. next to storage
usage as elevated tool for looking at the laptop at sight level
FEEL 2
 A lot can still be learned from looking at branch specialists
 Probably focus on business segment
 I feel the product is suitable for incremental production (improvement)
steps
 A design team would be very helpfull
 I feel the large picture is clear now
 I feel that when the product is final large scale production can be an option

 How can we best improve our idea for the production of a tool to store away
hardware and wires for a laptop and at the same time have a good eye sight
for the screen?

  • 1. Empathy map, problem statement and stakeholders Design Thinking Action Lab Interview for a new office/laptop store away tool
  • 2. SAY – quotes in the interview  I would like to do something with this idea.  How can we make this work?  What are the key features for comparable products?  What should be at least in it?  What would people value?  Can we improve current products?  Should it be light?
  • 3. SAY 2  Can we involve design schools?  I want to include room for hardware in the product.  Do we value function more than design?
  • 4. DO - observations  Preference for an all-in product  Becomes more excited when talking about various functions for the product  Seems not too mind that the product might become too big  Not a lot of research done yet  Seems to be an important role for electrical and additional parts
  • 5. THINK  The product should have several functions  It seems to be for both the business and private market  The size of the product seems not that important  A nice design would be great but is open  Not all requirements are clear yet  There does not seem to be a specific target group yet
  • 6. THINK 2  The product should have room for storage of wires and additional small hardware products based on the all-in product idea  The portability element seems to be under highlighted at the moment  There seems to be no clear thoughts on the production yet  Some elements of a business plan seem to be missing, such as a competitor ananlysis  A small prototype of a rough product idea would be ideal
  • 7. FEEL  The idea feels good, there seems to be a demand for clever store away products  Probably a lot depends on the function and design of the product  I feel that the product should be small in connexion with travel  If needed some elements of the storage could be sacrificed for the element of travel  There can be more focus on the functions of the tool, e.g. next to storage usage as elevated tool for looking at the laptop at sight level
  • 8. FEEL 2  A lot can still be learned from looking at branch specialists  Probably focus on business segment  I feel the product is suitable for incremental production (improvement) steps  A design team would be very helpfull  I feel the large picture is clear now  I feel that when the product is final large scale production can be an option
  • 9. PROBLEM STATEMENT  How can we best improve our idea for the production of a tool to store away hardware and wires for a laptop and at the same time have a good eye sight for the screen?
