1. Edmodo is such powerful tool that I was completely lost when using it at first,
so here are some of the points which were not immediately obvious to me at least .
THREADED MESSAGES – is the key !
Who do you wish to address your message to? The whole
group or just one or two people? Add (or remove) the
name of the group. As soon as you start typing the name(s)
you want pops up.
But above all ……..

2. ALWAYS use the function "reply" as your first choice to maintain
the thread, and avoid creating unneccessary "new" topics
(unless it’s a new topic of course )
Threads follow through in notes, alerts, homework etc.
Click on the " notification" you receive, and you will find the whole
thread, wherever it originated from.

3. Three pages, or in a folder: (put
in a folder by the group owner, you can do that when you
create your own group)

4. You have addressed a message to the group, but there is someone you want to be sure
has read it ? Then you can use the function "share " (but avoid sending it to the whole
group again, where it will create a new thread on the same subject) The person will
be able to find the message on their "personal messages" page.
You can tag the original comment in a thread,
and you will find your tags on your personal
pages: "recent messages ", or " me "
Unfortunately, you can’t share tags with
others in the group here you are a "teacher
(member) ". The person who creates the
group can share tags with the group (very
hierarchical!)
