4. Maximize Your Weekends!
Adapt a strategy or two from the following slides to
make the most of your weekend and return to work
Monday feeling refreshed!
Strategies adapted from Dr. Travis Bradberry’s
post on LinkedIn:

5. Disconnect
0 Turn off work email on
your phone over the
weekend.
You can’t refocus and reenergize when you allow yourself to
be reminded 24/7 of work-related issues to address and
challenges to tackle…
0 If that causes too much anxiety, at least
designate specific “email time/s” when your
family/friends are otherwise engaged.
6. Schedule chores
Set boundaries for household tasks—what you don’t get
done this weekend will wait until next. When your To Do list
at home rivals your To Do list at the office, you won’t have
time to unwind and reflect!!
9. Wake up at the Same Time
Tired? Go to bed earlier.
Keep your Circadian
rhythm consistent so
you can wake up
refreshed and ready for
Monday!
Sleeping in on Saturday
and Sunday can make
you tired and sluggish
on Monday!
Tips for a Good Night’s Sleep
Be sure
your
room is
dark
Exercise
regularly
for deeper,
more
continuous
sleep
Unwind
before you
go to bed
Avoid eating
too late
Steer clear
of caffeine
and alcohol
before bed
Keep your
bedroom
temperature
around 65º
